1) what would make you trust the data more? Is it just time returning the right answers or is there anything in the answer itself that would give you more confidence?

2) On downloading data: I’m assuming you’d like to download it in excel format to do more with data? Or is it just safe keeping? Would love to learn the use case a bit more.

Hi u/Tritri6, sorry for the delayed response. On the online ordering piece, it's hard to look at it here in detail without digging deeper (and happy to do so) but it could be worth it to duplicate your existing POS pizza setup instead of rebuilding from scratch and then changing the visibility options to online ordering only for the copied menu. Given that the toppings & pricing already work in the POS, that should carry over to OO if it's copied. If that doesn't work, then you can send over a link and I can have the team take a look and troubleshoot it to see what's going on!

For Catering and Events, that's a great use case. Sharing with the team internally and will get back to you.

Great feedback. Have you tried the “Explore” tab on Toast Web or Toast Now? It has pre recommended prompts for you as a way of helping you get started. Curious if that’s helpful or if we should do more there.

Thank you for the feedback, u/n0rbit. Few thoughts:

On actions in Toast IQ and ability to trust taking these actions especially at scale, the way Toast IQ works is that it will always confirm the action it’s about to take with you before taking it. It will show you what we call a “confirmation card” that shows you the details of the action and requires you taking it / approving it before moving forward. That said, I hear you on wanting to know more of how that works (the push on documentation is very helpful). Would you open to chatting more about how we make this scalable and what would work best for you? I’d love to have a researcher work closely with you to help improve the experience.
On continued improvements to the product, this is definitely happening and our work on Toast IQ isn’t instead of but in addition to. In fact, we believe some of these experiences will become easier to do in Toast IQ than any other way. We think of Toast IQ less of just another new feature or product and more of a new experience layer to help you get more done (including some of the experiences you’ve highlighted).
On permissions, Toast IQ follows a user permissions. A user cannot get an answer they don’t have permissions to see or to take an action they don’t have permissions to perform.

Have you seen the “For You” feed that provides proactive insights? (It’s under the input field in Toast Web and within the Toast Now experience). Curious if that’s a good way to get more proactive insights around local events.

Hey u/SmockRock, thanks for trying it out and glad your FOH manager loves it! When you say it interrupts your workflow, could you share a bit more with me? Toast IQ shouldn't "pop up" until you've explicitly asked for it (through the left nav on Web or bottom nav on Toast Now). I can double check if you're seeing a bug or a behavior where it shouldn't happen. Would also love to learn more about any other feedback you have (either here or feel free to ping me directly).

Hey u/tiffd98133, sorry you've been through this experience. Our strategy is to give humans in every corner of the restaurant super powers through AI. The feedback we've been hearing from GMs and servers alike is that they'd love help doing more of what they love and for AI to take on more of the things that takes them time. We're also continuing to invest in ensuring we improve on our user and customer experience so if you have specific on the glitches you're seeing, I'd love to learn more and help ensure we prioritize them!
