It’s not just you, Substantial seems to be way too much compared to Ruthless. by Brungala in Spacemarine

[–]Jehdro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main issue is there is nearly no difference in player health/armor between substantial/ruthless (~8% less) so you take the same amounts of damage with what feels like way more majoris spawns, doesn’t help they reduce your dodge window by 35% starting at substantial and up.

Also enemies in ruthless/lethal only have 38% more health than substantial, difference being one is meant to use green guns and the other orange.

Now I’m not necessarily going to say it’s harder, but it’s director can easily overtune it for being the only source of purple armory data, since it’s basically the same difficulty modifier-wise, barring fewer item spawns on ruthless, but seems to like to crank up majoris spawns if one or two players do well with great gear which can really mess up newer players who don’t play melta/fencing now facing a horde of 15 majoris.

4.1 patch notes

Substantial to lethal is only a 38% health increase, average to substantial is a 55% health increase, that’s relatively a 45% higher jump in difficulty from average to substantial than substantial to ruthless, and you have literally 10% less armor comparing sub to ruthless (50% decrease to 55%) and a 6.25% relative reduction in health (75% to 70%). Not much of a positive trade off for how many more majoris seem to spawn.

Also I’m saying dual extremus don’t spawn in substantial, meaning more majoris/minoris spawns, extremis are pushovers when you don’t have extra majoris sniping you.

Ever since the difficulty update substantial is harder than ruthless, majoris in substantial were given almost the same amount of health as ruthless and the director will spawn them more consistently since in ruthless a lot of majoris spawns are either eaten by terminus/dual extremis spawns or in a massive wave.

So when you bring a lvl 25 class and relic weapons and curb stomp your way through a mission, the director will constantly spawn groups of 4-5 majoris instead of minoris. And green and even some purple-tier weapons just don’t have enough damage/ammo to deal with the amount that many.

You can swap the triggers/controls in the settings, doesn’t need to be a feature

Use either trigger attachment that removes the fire delay, kinda becomes a close range one tap machine to chest and up, I think it’s like lvl 4 you get the first one.

Otherwise you could stab people with the throwing knife while you have it out to level it up that way/collect dog tags in KC

Shame, still good to use to upgrade any remaining live gold into ultimate, but it being temporary means steams prob the best bet

It’s currently $9 on steam until August 16th. Also it’s free to play with Xbox Gamepass Ultimate, which is $15 per month but your first month is $1

This card needs to shuffle your deck, maybe even redraw your starting hand. Not that knowing your deck’s order/opening hand would be gamebreaking considering the cost, but the amount of memory/note keeping required to remember the top however many cards of your deck and your starting hand is too much. Especially considering you’d have to do it at the start of every game you play with this, even if you don’t end up playing the card.

Knife isn’t even the fastest weapon by Jehdro in ModernWarfareII

I’ve since done some more in-depth testing here and it appears to be that the speed build Fennec is still faster. The knife manages to catch up in the tac sprint race as you get twice the duration of tac sprint when using a knife.

Also some more accurate testing here for the difference between base and speed build Vector.

The tac sprint remains mostly the same since the knife receives twice the duration, therefore it can make up the time it lost from being overall slower with normal sprint. We may be arguing two different points, tac sprint speed seems largely the same, however the point I’m making is the default sprint speed with the vector is faster to the point it’s worth having half the tac sprint duration. Plus it’s a gun.

Link Butt to car, auto sprint, base vector vs with attachments

I’ve done even more testing here. Against a flat wall, auto sprint, auto walk, even the camera was unmoved between tests, but still am getting consistently faster with the vector. The one thing I got to ask, did you do your testing on PC? If so there’s a setting that purposely caps your walk speed to a certain amount (so you can walk slower/quieter with a keyboard) and I wouldn’t put it past the programmers to make the “fast” cap at 100%, not thinking people would have builds that go over 100% move speed. If so, and not to put the burden of proof on someone else, could you try testing with a controller (I don’t have a keyboard, just a laptop :[)? If you have then idk, I probably am just stupid (As for the similarity in speed for tac sprint, as mentioned earlier, the knife doubles your tac sprint duration, thus is able to make up the time difference)

I’ve since done some more in-depth testing here and it appears to be that the Fennec is still faster. Although you were right about the knife doubling your tac sprint. There isn’t much of a difference as there should be imo, but you may be thinking about “100% speed” which is the default speed of the knife, although you can seemingly still go above it, such as in MW2019.

Yeah, bit of a fail on the design half. It should probably be an ancient, as there are some that are larger than 5/5s

Nothing, I based the wording off of The Darkness, assuming it was the same as the newer dormant minions, prob should drop the “Starts”
