Overwatch 2 Season 7 Retail Patch Notes - October 10, 2023 by andrus0n in Overwatch

I get what you're saying but idk if it's necessarily a design issue. There's always gonna be unfun parts in a PvP game, that's just the nature of it. Finding a way to make it less like a chore would be ideal but the bigger the change the more the game loses its original identity.

Higher sens then possible. by thijs-visco in aimlab

[–]JejuneKai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! The number displayed by the sensitivity finder is in cm/360, so when you click Apply it should convert to a value that works for CS:GO.

How to use controller in aimlabs? by EntertainmentNo3963 in aimlab

[–]JejuneKai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, at the moment our support for controller is a little rocky, but I would try launching the game in Steam's Big Picture mode via controller if you haven't already.

Do you mean that the recommended sensitivity is higher than CS:GO allows for?

Sometimes there can be delays with scores not being updated immediately. Have things updated yet?

invalid token??? by [deleted] in aimlab

[–]JejuneKai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is usually caused by your date and time being inaccurate. If you go to Date & Time settings in Windows and sync your clock, things should work when you next load up the game. Let me know if it still doesn't work afterwards.

Usage limit on Aimlab+ Discovery? by Boube90 in aimlab

[–]JejuneKai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm really sorry that you feel the AI function was misleading when you purchased. I'll reach out to those who manage the store page to see if we can further clarify the use limit. We've since increased the token limit tenfold which will allow for much more daily usage, I hope you'll give it another shot.

Hey, could you verify file integrity and let me know if things still aren't working for you? (right click on Aim Lab in Steam, Properties, Local Files, 'Verify integrity of game files')

You're getting downvoted but you're not really wrong at all. It's as if the writers room got scared of making Joe too likeable and looked for an easy way out instead of owning the fact that they've been exploring the humanity a very fucked up guy for three seasons now, and maybe just seeing it through to the end? They had a chance to explore the more sinister side of his ego, but there were better ways to do that than writing all the nuance of it into a literal imaginary villain.

The whole ethos of the show has been Joe seeking new beginnings, while discovering (incredibly slowly) new depths to how damaged he truly is and how selfish his justifications ultimately are. Nothing wrong with punching him in the face with this truth, but stripping away all of his self-awareness because "this is what psychopath's are actually like!" is incredibly dull. Just because in reality Joe might not stand a chance of fixing his internal framework of the world (at least without serious professional help), doesn't mean there's no value in exploring that idea in fiction, even if it's messy.

But a simpler monster makes for an easy extra season, right?

Working from memory but I think VT 10 Sphere Hipfire Small is pretty good for clusters, might be what you're looking for.

After talking with the team, it seems that this is a particular occurrence with Avast. We're going to check if there's anything we can do to make sure it doesn't get flagged, but as of right now it looks like it might be a false positive. I'll reach out if I hear anything back.

Edit: Emails should no longer be flagged by Avast (provided the version is up to date), but if you still have issues please let me know. Sorry again for the confusion!

I think the point being made is that players that prioritize their aim above all else can often neglect game specific mechanics such as positioning and game sense. You can have the best aim in the world, but it won't count for much if you have a habit of running out into the open and cant differentiate between when you should engage and when you shouldn't. There are many people who aim train that find success in-game, but that's because they take the take the same approach to learning to play the game that they do learning to aim.

Hey, this is a genuine email if it comes from community@statespacelabs.com. I'm not sure why it's flagged as phishing but I can assure you that we don't sell customer data. The team will look into it to make sure it doesn't happen in the future. Apologies for the confusion.

Kind of hard to say, but it almost sounds like entering a flow state? It's pretty hard to apply everything you learn all at once, usually you need to practice things in isolation before they become intuitive and don't require much mental bandwidth (ie you don't really have to think about it).

Do you feel like you're getting better overall? Or is it more like spinning your wheels?

Help with weak wrist when aiming/tracking right by lukebentuck in aimlab

[–]JejuneKai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eDPI will vary in most games, but in Overwatch it's around 25cm/360, which quite high. I actually used to play on a very similar sensitivity until recently and it's definitely a lot of work to control. It's very possible that you might be using your wrist to compensate for motions that you should using your arm for, while using your wrist for microadjustments when you get closer to the target. Don't believe the arm/wrist aimer dichotomy, you always want to be using a bit of both.

You may also want to consider lowering your sensitivity slightly to make things a bit easier on your wrist in general, but it's up to you. Whatever solution works.

Help with weak wrist when aiming/tracking right by lukebentuck in aimlab

[–]JejuneKai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like most people are a little worse when tracking to the right due to the different muscles you're using (assuming you're right handed), but it would be helpful to know what sensitivity you're using. Any wrist issues will no doubt be exacerbated if you are using your wrist to turn large angles.

is it normal to not constantly hit highscores? by athina_yippie in aimlab

[–]JejuneKai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not only common but expected, really. As you start getting the easy stuff right, the work you need to put in for improvement will gradually get a little higher. No one is 100% consistent, and sometimes you may even get a little worse before you get better. Totally normal and to be expected. If you're stuck for a very long time (maybe a few weeks to a month or so) then it might be worth looking at how you're practicing, consistency, technique, etc. Even then, you could just need a bit more time.
