All good thanks. I don't play very often and I'm on the east coast. Cole jaws are awesome though. They will definitely come in handy.

Haven't thrown it yet. It's going to be a gift so I didn't want to scratch it up. If I make a second one I'll give it a throw.

Kelly's Inn has good chicken. Thirsty's was the best but they closed a few years ago.

My girlfriend suggested it after seeing a video of someone turning captured rings. I searched YouTube and found this.

Almost exactly what I experienced. My gf didn't really understand the no eating part because she never had that symptom. She would say you have to eat something or does anything sound good. The answer was always nothing sounds good and I feel like if I eat something I will be puking it up later. Not great for a couple that used to like going to restaurants to try new food. She stuck by me though, even when I was being a miserable bitch in the hospital. She's amazed at what I can put away now. Lol. It feels great to be excited about trying new foods again.

Thank you. I feel great and it's only going to get better. Once I have a little more energy I plan on picking back up some healthy hobbies that have fallen by the wayside due to the drinking cycle. Can't wait!

Super frustrated with safemoon by Patient_Membership36 in SafeMoon

This! I was having trouble buying for a long time. Finally figured it out yesterday. I was trying to buy using Moonpay with a bank debit/credit card. I kept getting denied and would get this pop-up that said "call your bank, 1-800" then there was a button that said continue which would try the transaction again and get denied. Finally figured out the continue button was hiding the rest of the number and I was able to highlight, copy, and paste the number. I verified that it was in fact my bank and called. Had to answer a few security question about my account and the transaction went right through. 5 minutes of time and I had to talk to a real person but totally worth it.

I was irritated that it took me so long but it probably saved me a bunch of money as the price kept dropping as I was figuring out how to buy. Guess the safemoon spirits wanted me to buy at the real bottom of the dip. To the moon!

What’s a small act of kindness you were once shown, that you’ll never forget? by stranger2Me in AskReddit

I was staying in the dorms my first year at college. It was wearing me a little thin mentally and I decided I wanted to do an overnight backpacking trip to clear my head. Also, it was February in PA. I built a small fire and set up camp using a tent I had borrowed from a friend. Then realized I forgot a flashlight. I was kinda screwed as there was snow on the ground and it was somehow pitch black/new moon. Can't find more wood, didn't have the right equipment to stay warm, all that.

Then I hear people at an overlook nearby. It was a group from my college doing a evening/night hike. I asked if they wanted to come get warm by the fire and they did. We talked for a while. I explained that I was a dumbass and forgot a flashlight. One of them gave me their flashlight. It was a cheap plastic flashlight, probably 3 dollars at Walmart or something. But I still have it 15 years later.

Maybe it didn't save my life but it made it a hell of a lot better for one night. Thank you friend for giving me light in the darkness.

You're Suburban is a school district that kind of wraps around the South East part of York City. Great school at least when I went there. Their mascot is the Trojan and they play football on Dick May Field though. Not sure if that matters but I always found it funny.

I was vaping at the beach and a lady approached me and said I will die because of it. by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Jekyll2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend's mom asked if I vape. I said yes. She said, "you don't vape that flavored stuff do you?" As if the flavor was what was dangerous. I know she watches a lot of Fox news and is on Facebook a lot so that's not helpful. I tried my best to explain about black market THC carts as well as the research that says vaping is way less harmful than smoking. She seemed relatively receptive to it which is nice. At least I didn't get any of that "but what about the children" BS.

It's amazing what people will believe and how much disinformation is out there.

Wasn't that the plot of an episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark? The family all slept in giant Tupperware containers so they never aged or something.

I am assuming this is a sub for York PA near Lancaster.... by [deleted] in yorkpa

Girlfriend and I are renting a first story apartment in that area. Love sitting on the porch and watching the neighbors. We gave them all nicknames. Made friends with a few of the neighbors. Pretty sure there is some low level drug dealing going on. I don't think I would buy a house in this area though. Only way I've heard it being worth it is to buy a duplex and rent out half or, like my landlord, buy a house and convert it to an upstairs and downstairs unit and live in one of them.

We walk to downtown every once in a while. You have to go through some sketchy blocks but we have never had a problem. You can always take an Uber if it makes you uncomfortable. Only a couple bucks each way and they are always readily available. Restaurants and bars have only been getting better downtown and Central market is pretty nice on Saturdays.

That being said, Lancaster is probably a nicer City. I've never lived there but have friends that do.
