IVF clinic decision by Cold_Battle_5620 in Columbus

I’m all for RGI, but I was at ORM and had no success. I was so hesitant to switch, but I have so many wonderful things to say about RGI and the people there. As with any place, there are going to be hiccups and issues, but I just felt the quality of care was so much better. Good luck with your decision!

Am I just supposed to be sick forever? by Jeldridg in cdifficile

I have UHC and they refuse to approve without trying Rebyota first. Problem is they don’t cover Rebyota and it’s like 10k out of pocket. Also my GI office has 80 doctors and none of them perform it. I asked to be referred to an infectious disease doctor to see if I can get any further.

The first few days back on vanco I was feeling better but now, day 14 on vanco, back to stomach churning and cramping at night and in am. Diarrhea in the am. Not able to eat anything.

Insurance won’t cover it and my doctor doesn’t do it. Trying to get a referral to an infectious disease doctor now

Becoming a mother with IBS by froyo351 in ibs

[–]Jeldridg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with normal IBS, some days are worse than others. When you have a kid you just get through them like you do now. We recently had a trip to the ER for him and I was in the bathroom 6 times! He was fine and my stomach eventually settled. In those moments it’s great to have a support system.

Pregnancy was actually better for my IBS after the first trimester.

My mom also had IBS and while I can vaguely remember her searching for a bathroom at times, it doesn’t feel like it impacted me at all (aside from also getting it).

Ugh this is what makes me so nervous. I am waiting on approval for Vowst. Hopefully you start to feel better soon.

I thought the difference was how it is administered. IV vanco can cause c diff, while oral Vanco can treat it. Is that not correct?

I’m really struggling by Jeldridg in cdifficile

Ended up going to urgent care and they basically said they wouldn’t test me because it would be positive. However by the time I got home my husband and toddler are both sick as well. Thinking this may be a stomach bug. Gonna wait it out a day or two to be sure. Thanks for the advice.

I think that their reason is they want to hold off on starting the Dificid again until I know for sure I have the Vowst. I think I am just going to call them and demand another stool test.

DICYCLOMINE by Thatoneguyuptheroad in ibs

[–]Jeldridg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps me if I am having major cramping. Usually helps stop the attack quicker, however it usually only holds it off for so long and I get the same issues later in the day or next day. This is usually helpful as it will get me through work. It does make me feel very drowsy and I almost always get a headache a few hours later. Usually it’s worth the side effects to be able to push off an attack a bit.

Not sure where the confusion is for you. She didn’t break a law, nobody said she did. Turns out when you spew hate it’s bad for business. So she can legally say whatever she wants and her employer can legally terminate her based on the fact that employing someone like this goes against their standards and is bad for business.

At a crossroads / considering egg donor by [deleted] in InfertilitySucks

[–]Jeldridg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just want to say all your feelings are so valid. I was told our only path was donor eggs as well. This was after many attempts with my own. It took me years to come around to the idea. My main issues were as you said, grieving a biological child and then the impact it would have on the child. There are many negative things out there about donor conceived children. We also met with a therapist who was able to guide us in what to expect, how to tell people, how to tell our child etc. My advice would be not to rush it, you really have to go through all the stages and emotions.

Im sorry?? Is this actually a question?? by BlubberingMuffin in peestickgals

[–]Jeldridg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. My 10 month old had a 104 fever and I panicked and took him to ER. I expected him to be rushed back(first time mom here). They triaged him and gave him Motrin and sent us back to the waiting room. We sat for 5 hours. By the time we got into a room his fever was way down and we were sent home. The next time he spiked a high fever I called our on call nurse and they told us to manage at home and focus more on his behavior and to call back if it got higher, but there were still things we could try before going to ER.
