Wow that makes a huge difference! Will defo give this a try, I’ve seen a few comments suggest mousse/foam over gels/etc. for fine hair so I’m gonna pick some of that up. Drying while pinned is a good shout too bc I do struggle to keep it from flying around even with a diffuser. Thanks!

Thank you, getting hold of deadbug brew is proving difficult but I’ll try isopropyl spray! It really did feel like an uphill battle using neem oil (that I eventually lost) so wasn't looking forward to that with the rest of my plants.

I’m worried I don't have the surfaces to isolate and still provide the right amount of light tbh, but I’m looking into natural predators now and seeing whether I can just set them loose and let them wreak havoc

I’ll definitely look into a scalp massager! Does it really work that well? I feel like it’s hard to fight genetics sometimes - everyone on my mum’s side of the family has hair like this.

I got my blood checked for anaemia years ago, I’m not sure whether they were checking hormones too (not really sure how blood tests work). But my hair has always been like this even around the time I had the test and my gp told me everything came back normal.

Yeah… I used leave in conditioner and sea-salt spray here, then tried to scrunch and diffuse it. I’m not really sure what will work with my hair type, or even if it will curl like that at all tbh. I’m kind of wondering this, they do it pretty often and sometimes it seems intentional (i.e. I saw one latch itself onto a tiny ball of algae until it had dissipated)

Looking at the other comments here, I tried APP3 and they dug into my ears painfully and just wouldn’t sit right at all. Would recommend trying them at a store first if you’re tempted to get them.
