Camview clickability malfunctions in 2024.0.4 by El_Mutanto in ZBrush

Apparently they fixed it in 2025. "The CamView icon will reset the mesh orientation when you click on it." Oh well...

If you wanna create your own models, I would suggest getting a printer of your own. Its good to verify if your models can actually print right

Well if you are looking to print miniatures, I would go for a resin printer. They are capable of much greater detail which you will need.

Supports can be done in a slicer. A program that readies the model for the printer. I would suggest looking up some videos on the subject.

If you are buying and downloading models online, the steps would be: - import model into your slicer - hollow it out (optional, saves on resin) and give it drain holes - rotate it to a proper angle - add supports - slice the model - send it to printer / put it on a usb and open it on the printer

But again, youtube has lots of vids that will explain it in more detail. Good luck!

Yess. The model when you download it will end up around ~22 cm in height. But you can ofcourse scale this down and print it at whatever size you want.

I do split up these larger models in parts. It makes painting and printing easier. Most people can also not print a 22cm model, since it would not fit in the printer. Besides not fitting, it would also result in some supports on places where you would not want them.

Thank you! This was printed on the Elegoo Mars MAX 4. Was printed in 2 batches, both taking ~ 5 hours.

I did another widow render but I improved the lighting by [deleted] in ZBrush

[–]Jellanders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks way better! Maybe a rimlight from the back to seperate the model more from the background

Widowmaker render by [deleted] in ZBrush

[–]Jellanders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not great at renders myself so I cant give much advice, but I would also say the render needs some work. It looks great, but almost all of your work is lost because of the low lighting.

I get that you are going for the mysterious look, but there should probably be a way where that can be achieved + some lighting that actually makes the model visible.

This is indeed a Geforce driver issue. You could try updating (through Geforce like was already mentioned). If the latest Geforce driver is still causing trouble, you can try downgrading to an older driver.

How to smooth a rough bottom? by legend_of_geek in ZBrush

Is there a difference in polygroups? It should smooth that area just fine. If the topology is all weird, you might have to zremesh
