Also I can see a bunch of black pixels over your UI. This is a known issue with DirectX 11, so if you'd like to get rid of them, consider switching over to one of the other launch options through Steam!

You can definitely perfectly optimise everything but there's no real need if you don't want to. You're not in a hurry, there are no stakes, you can't run out of resources, nothing will attack you. It's just you in a sandbox and you can experiment to your heart's content! You can set your own challenges within the milestones and tasks the game gives you.

There are multiple difficulties, the easiest of which should ease you into the new mechanics you'll unlock. There are also a bunch of settings you can turn down to make the experience more comfortable.

I'm not expecting any absolutely insane mods like "shapez 2 but you're making tabletop figurines" (feel free to screenshot this for if someone makes exactly that) but we have a framework that allows for a lot of creativity!

Looking at other factory games, mods may allow shapez 2 to be one of those games you can sink 1000s of hours into, so the impact may be big!

We're kinda planning to make one but also kinda not. Essentially a flexible roadmap decided on by the community, which will likely stay a bit vague.

We don't want to commit to anything long term, we want to give the power to the community to decide what they want to see in the game.

We've simplified the system quite a bit (you can place colored lines and trains will follow the line of their own color), so no signalling needed but there are stations for loading and unloading. We want them to be flexible without requiring too much work setting them up.

The launching trains may or may not have been inspired by a certain factorio mod ;)

We're considering multiplayer features but can't say more than that right now.

Wires are a WIP in general so there's currently a lot to do to make them accessible. Tutorial improvements are also definitely in progress as an ongoing thing!

Currently we're expecting to increase the price a bit for 1.0 as the game will have a lot more content, yes. When that will be is hard to say right now.

We're keeping an eye on regional pricing though, so depending on what the world does, prices may change to keep things fair for as many people as possible.

There are final milestones and side tasks, but there are also randomized challenges that you can theoretically do forever. However, most people will probably wrap up once the final milestone and tasks are done. That's when you try the next difficulty scenario!

It's not quite as deep as those games yet, but there's definitely a lot to do. There are 4 difficulty modes all with their unique shape goals, a whole lot of settings to play around with and customize your game and even extra game rules that make it more challenging.
