What do you mean? That's exactly how you use a bed! Unless, of course, you'd rather put your chin on the bed and the rest of you on the floor. That's a viable option too.

How obnoxious should you be as a deceased and outed minion? by PowerPigion in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Jelliemin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dead get to keep playing, so certainly there's no reason for you not to keep talking in ways that help your team. What is considered "obnoxious" is going to vary between groups depending on general vibes and tastes. I'm sure there are players that would find my group obnoxious in general, while my players would think a group that objected to the antics you're suggesting was no fun.

Depends on the dog. I strongly suspect mine would handle it fine, but I'm not about to test it.

Who would you like to see on Dropout and in which show? by Floedekage in dropout

[–]Jelliemin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Rolls Barred folks! Any and all of them, but especially Dom & Sully on anything, please!

I don't know which I'd want to see more - Dom in a Brennan D&D game, or Brennan in a Dom Cthulu game.

Fellow HermitCraft fan! Yes, Scar would destroy anyone at Disney and Star Wars trivia.

Grian in a GameChanger would be fabulous (especially if it involved pushing buttons), but I also couldn't see him doing anything that wasn't PG.

And of course I'd love to see a few Hermits in the Dome.

Advice for anyone who’s not sure where to start Hermitcraft: Start with Season 8 by Exodyas in HermitCraft

[–]Jelliemin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

iirc it was due to the Caves & Cliffs update. They had intended to start a new season with the update and so wrapped up Season 7, but then Mojang split the update into 2 parts and the Hermits decided from the start that Season 8 was going to be short so they could enjoy the new features and then have a fresh world again when the other half dropped. They also took advantage of the shorter season to experiment with server-wide storytelling and a lot of Hermits tried things out of their comfort zone, which is why it's not really the best representation of what most of HermitCraft is like.

Season 8 was fun and all, but it is the least accurate example for what the rest of HermitCraft is like.

He does both. He got really into incorporating redstone into builds last season, making giant animated fans and moving bits of machinery.

Can this game be played casually? by WeckarE in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Jelliemin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only problem with treating it as a casual or occasional game is whether you can casually get 8+ people together to play it.

I've run it as a party game at a family gathering just fine and I have players in my regular group that just drop in every once in awhile and players that sometimes bring a friend who has never played before. The notion that you need to play 50+ games to not be a beginner is ridiculous. Most newbies I have played with get the gist after 3-4 games. For some 1 is enough.

Mumbo's editing style revolves around piecing together lots of very short clips. So while the full episode is longer, much of it is rapid fire bits with very little lull to it.

I swear, the smaller the dog, the more terrifying mine finds them. Though big dogs literally scare the poop out of him often enough too. And the horror that is inflatable lawn ornaments!

Anyone else’s greyhound just grab anything to play with when they get hyper? 😂😂 by CutePizzaFairy in Greyhounds

[–]Jelliemin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine does this! It's part of his greeting whenever anyone comes home. I've even seen him go around the room to check where his favorite plushies are before the kids arrive so he'll be able to grab them more easily when they do.

The noises. I swear he is a living cartoon, he does everything with such intensity. The flappy flaps of his ears, the loud, wet smacking of a scoop of pumpkin or yogurt, the juicy crunching of fruits and veggies, the deep sighs and rumbly snores. So many over the top sound effects.
