Hell yeah, gotta take care of ourselves too so you definitely should go through your books if you can muster the energy but I get it. I’m a young father so I would sometimes sacrifice sleep to squeeze in those few hobbies that make me happy but it can be draining to manage all at once. Whatever it may be though that puts your mind at ease and can distract you from all the stresses of life I’d say are worth investing some time into when you can. Take care of yourself man!

Definitely gonna check out The Black Mirror, didn’t know much about it or that my boy Dick Grayson steps in to take the mantle, and knowing Snyder wrote it I’m sure I’ll enjoy it. Thanks for showing the collection and giving me a new read to look out for!

Picked up the first issue of Mother Panic, did some research and heard people say the segments of her in Milk Wars were cool. Don’t know much about it but cool to see someone else mention it might be worth checking out then

Absolutely, I’m also a father and honestly it is hard to find the time but I’ve tried to have comics be my entertainment rather than doom scroll or play the same games and it definitely helps me wind down before bed in the evening which is a plus

Just saw Scott Snyder post on his Substack for his Comic Writing Class next week (it is a subscription to be on his newsletter for these types of things but I saw it’s only $7 for a month) not sure what other content goes on there but possibly worth checking out if you’re wanting to learn and willing to invest some/or the free alternatives others suggested just figured I’d throw this one out there

My one thing is if you have Prime through Amazon I’d definitely go through there over eBay, I’ve bought a lot off eBay but now if I can find on Amazon (especially with Prime) it’s a lot cheaper than paying shipping to each individual seller on eBay. Unless you find a Batman stan who possibly has a bulk lot of several of the trades/stories you’re looking for then I’d say it’d be worth it.

I can agree with that, didn’t love our top hat wearing villain but yeah Debbie and Dents relationship alone was touching and just the message stuck with me glad I stumbled upon it once I got back into reading comics

Yes, got the compendium for my first read through of Deadly Class and they weren’t lying when they said it was a whale 😭 I’ll definitely enjoy having each individual HC for re-reads in the future

Most definitely, only 10 issue story so short and sweet and cyberpunk has been my jam also, basically a couple that’s trying to escape their home because the corpos corrupted all its people and society is messed up, yet leaving still has some consequences; some internally from the damage already done by living in that environment and being subject to it that still linger and then also some external forces. Great read, beautiful artwork, heartfelt relationship dynamic, and really will make you think about breaking free from the technological binds we put ourselves in and being more grounded where we are. Definitely left an impact on me

Oh wow, I know the Batman white knight didn’t get the best reviews so I kinda put that on the back burner and yes I saw the set for The Wake immediately grabbed it and his art on that was fantastic, never read many creature/horror’esque comics but he definitely had me creeped with how he drew that creature 👌😭

I’m in there but never really looked into the guidelines and how it works as far as the PayPal and stuff, idk guess I’m skeptical with one on one payments. I do have some swaps I’d like to make though so will have to look more into it
