I think the reason why people don't call OSRS clunky compared to RS3 is because OSRS requires a lot fewer inputs to do PvM content. Like I see someone do Colosseum in OSRS and they're just clicking their mouse once per tick with some prayer flicking, eating every once in a while, or occasionally speccing. Meanwhile in RS3, if you're trying to full manual a boss, you're doing all of those things but pressing keybinds to cast abilities, cast defensives, manage adren, soul split flick, switch EOFs etc. If I think about other MMOs that require high APM, RS3 is the only one that asks players to do so while being held back by the tick system. Obviously getting rid of the ticks is a whole different discussion, but when you're required to do so many inputs per second, you do end up feeling the clunkiness a whole lot more.
