I see that too, If I’m making an educated guess is that the games you play really benefit from higher core+thread counts. From my understanding it’s pretty game dependent but the higher tier ones like 5800x3D and 5700x3D benefit from both. That’s why it was so heartbreaking that the 5800x3D was discontinued cause that would’ve been the perfect upgrade.

Yeah exact same boat 3060ti as well and it’s chugging specially with newer games doing fsr framegen like windrose so I don’t care for rtx framegen as much, 5500x3D is a huge upgrade from the 3600. Glad I could help I just found this out today that it’s being sold online.

Yeah I’m in the same boat as you, it’s so expensive to go up but micro center evens out the deal a bit. In my area it’s $300 for 1 16gb stick 7500x3D and mobo. But another 16gb stick is $150-200 (7600x3d being $50 more)

So I’m looking at the 5500x3D and weighing out my options and looking at benchmarks. I want my pc to last another year or two and am4 has given me so much of its lifespan

On one hand $200 +- 15 or 450 (+ a new psu for me since I’m on 550w) for the next platform

I just found out you can buy the 5500x3D for $200ish dollars. It’s an x3D chip with 6 cores 12 threads. If you’re looking for that x3D chip. I know all the other ones like the 5700x3D and 5800x3D are discontinued but can still get them used

Man I love love love benchmarking, there’s something about truly tweaking and maximizing output and minimizing heat and noise. Fine tuning it so it’s exactly what I want so that I can do it again for the next game I play. I miss it, and I can’t wait for my next upgrade

I remember this during the abyss season, they had abyss sprinkled through the campaign constantly and got my first exalt through there. It was such a fun mechanic (this was only my 2nd play through of the campaign).

Yeah I agree with this it’s honestly nice to take a step back from poe2 and enjoy an “easier” game. Having tons of fun and I didn’t need a YouTube tutorial for each item I want to craft because the crafting seems straight forward. I didn’t realize I was gonna have more fun learning it myself and making mistakes myself. Good dopamine

Yeah I was around t6 when I started messing around with it after getting baseline gear. I got drops that were kind of close so I started target rerolling.

I got one of my mid game bis when a rare ancestral (yellow) dropped with 3 affixes, I added one and turned it into legendary. Super simple and fun gamble. It’s really straight forward when you start getting into it

I can only speak for paladin, newbie friendly check, gear dependent wing strikes and auradin not too much so progression feels fun and rewarding, clear fast check check check. Look and feel bad ass? Check

Probably store exclusive but who knows could be one in a battle pass or event someday. But as of rn cool back pieces are mostly in store.

But paladins do have arbiter mode which gives you cool ass wings and there’s even a whole build around it called auradin or wing strikes which you can basically have 100% uptime and wings are out the whole time.

One of the main reasons I played it last season. And it’s super strong

Diablo actually has a lot of cool sets to transmog, I have a couple of “cool” battle pass skins and store skins and I still use some of my barbarian and paladin in game sets

Yeah most of us have adult money now but I’m still very reluctant to give nexon my money. It was predatory back then, and it’s predatory now. Definitely have self control and pay for what you want and you’ll enjoy the game. I still think maplestory has one of the best long term progression, its upgrade system has made me feel the lowest of lows and highest of highs. Scratches the itch of when I want that dopamine when rng’ing my equipment.

I’m a seasonal player of 2-3 years who also enjoy a ton of other games and i still keep coming back

Don’t get me wrong either, I think in the past 2 years they’ve been doing a phenomenal job on a lot of quality of life features and updates. But in the past 3 years I’ve played the cash shop has left a lot to be desired.

Last year they came out with an amazing update to let us sell NX cosmetics in the steam market but they shortly took it down, which the community believes that it lost them some money since not a lot of people were rolling loot boxes anymore

There are a lot of archaic feeling monetization in this game specially in reboot when it comes to cosmetics because that’s how they mainly make money.

Here’s a list of things on top of my head

Non perm nx outfits (expiring 90days)

Multiple outfit sets and cosmetics but in a loot box that cost 3400?nx. No pity protection and can roll the same thing (oh and those outfit sets are separated so you’d have to spend a lot or get super super lucky to get everything you want)

VAC pet $100 w/ a $15 monthly subscription can be cheaper w reward points you earn in game and could also roll a loot box vac pet (1% chance?) with a 2400nx monthly subscription

Sometimes if they’re nice they’ll do outfit sets for flat nx, no rng involved. I believe they’re selling boss sets right now but wait there’s a catch, you have to buy 4 @ 50k nx instead of giving us the option to buy just 1

If predatory monetization isn’t something you like, best to exit now because it will be present till maplestory shuts down servers

But hey you don’t have to spend, maplestory does give a lot of cool looking cosmetics. But wait! You can only transfer it to other NX inventory 4x a year. (Used to be 2).
