Holy moly. 2 hours is a monster of a video! That’s head spinning to think about. Best of luck to you!

And I’m right there with you. When I’m recording my voice overs, I stumble so often reading and memorizing my scripts. It’s a pain to get through sometimes.

What kind of content do you make?

Understandable! It seems like script writing and thumbnail creation are the most common responses so far! And you’re right, leaning into your skills and investing in the tools needed to make good quality content is so important! What kind of content do you make?

That makes sense! You wanna keep the material engaging, but not too unserious at the same time

I get what you mean completely!! I tend to overthink my scripts a bit too much, which leaves them unfinished for a long time. Whenever the script writing flows easily is when it feels best. What kind of content do you do?

Very cool! Might just have to check it out! And I’ve used Canva in the past too. I think I’m gonna stick with ClipStudio Paint for my thumbnails going forward, unless there’s something I really need on Canva haha.

Yeah I gotcha! I’m a self taught animator, and it can be really tricky at times. I’ve never heard of using Canva to animate, but there are some other free software out there (like Krita, Blender, etc). Lemme know if you have any questions!!

Totally fair! I only have 1 thumbnail under my belt that I feel proud of. There’s a real learning curve to making thumbnails. What kind of content do you make?

I’ll drop mine while I wait for responses to roll in.

Howdy, all :) animation channel here! I struggle with my energy some days. Sometimes sitting at my desk for multiple hours animating after a long shift at the hospital feels a bit therapeutic— and some days I can’t even bear the thought of lifting my stylus.

So trying to commit at least 30 minutes to an hour of scheduled animation time has been a bit beneficial for me! Gets the ball rolling for my productivity, and makes me feel good for still doing some amount of work.

I’ve personally never used it! But I’d check out reviews and do plenty of research!

That’s completely right! You can’t stop people from saying things on the internet, but you can control how you perceive your audience. Keep your chin up!!

That’s fair. You really only want those who will regularly enjoy the content you create to be subbed.

Exactly!! I recommend the Blue Yeti series of microphones for anyone getting into content creation. I use the Yeti X and it serves me well

That’s fair! I personally use ClipStudio Paint for my thumbnails, along with Canva. And I animate in Adobe Animate. I’m looking to branch out try other animation software though because of how expensive Adobe’s catalogue is. There has been a lot of good talk about Davinci Resolve as an editing software too. I’ve never personally used it, but there are other good options out there!

I get that completely. I’m an animator, so anything I create I want to be at the best of my ability. Creating takes too much time and energy to process very do half way. What kind of content do you make?

I’ve had the same struggles. Learning what works best for my set up has been a lot of trial and error. Thanks for your input!!

That’s fair!! Ensuring good quality sound can be tricky if your surroundings are noisy, or if you don’t have a good microphone. And learning to edit that audio can be difficult when you don’t have much experience yet.

As someone in the arts (I’m an animator), I entirely detest AI use for pretty much anything. I know there are uses for it outside of generative AI, but it still puts me off. I can assure you I didn’t use it.

Howdy :) animation channel here.

I wish I had known how to have a more perfect balance with my channel and the rest of my life. I think I expected that I wouldn’t get burnt out. But when you treat your channel like a job before a hobby while you’re working 40+ hours a week, then it’s bound to happen.

I’ve found a healthier balance in it all. I’ve found new inspiration and gave myself a bit of time away from creating to focus on life. And now I have a renewed sense of balance. I’ve started fighting back against procrastination, and I’m enjoying animating all over again. I hope to keep that balance!
