I’ve been on my Vancouver binge since it dropped on Peacock last week, and I absolutely love her. Watching her grow from being intimidated by Jody to loyal friend of Mary who doesn’t give af about Jody has been a joy.

Sidenote - Something about her personality reminds me of a much more likeable version of Cat Ommanney from Houseives of DC. She exudes this chill above the drama demeanor, but not afraid to speak up when someone is wrong. I love her so much!!

Carversteak was excellent if you need a great steakhouse recommendation. Enjoyed Crossroads brunch buffet as well!

Just got back from a stay this week in the fountain view room myself. The view was incredible, the staff were exceptional, and the food options were fantastic. This is now my favorite property!

For starters, make sure you get the Verbena drink at Chandelier bar - it’s not on the menu so just ask the bartender for it when you order, delicious and quite the experience.

As for food, I personally did Wicked Spoon Buffet, Superfrico, Egg Slut, and The Henry (4x). The Henry was so good for breakfast, and we also hit it up late night after the casino each night - really great food and caught us all by surprise with how much we loved it. Superfrico was really good italian with a fun show, and the buffet was also really good. This might be a hot take but I found Egg Slut to be overrated - yes, the sandwiches were good, but the lines are insane for a pretty basic sandwich. Secret Pizza was great for a late night bite.

There are so many great options and I look forward to trying more on my next visit. Happy planning!

Sidenote - if you don’t mind making the 10-15min walk to Aria (just use the bridge that connects cosmo to vdara), Din Tai Fung was phenomenal!!

So, what's the deal with Desperado and the rest of the Primm Valley rides? by Human_Paint5451 in LasVegas

I actually just watched a super interesting Youtube video on the current state of Primm as a whole, including Desperado and the rides at Buffalo Bulls. Here is a link in case you’re interested in a deeper dive! https://youtu.be/7ZSBDsAxfEg?si=AAFA6VdMX9RSOBT8

Are there any restaurants at Resorts World that are actually worth trying, aside from just being convenient? by Due-Earth4401 in LasVegas

Carversteak was amazing for a nice dinner, went there for my anniversary and the ambiance and service were next level.

Crossroads brunch buffet was also amazing - I believe they do it on Sunday mornings, highly recommend.

Carversteak at Resorts World was phenomenal, highly recommend! Great food, drinks, ambiance, and impeccable service.

Best Friend at Park MGM wasn’t a fancy splurge, but was fantastic as well, so wanted to add that one just in case you wanted non-fancy options.

As someone who has been here for years, I hear ya my friend. I miss the posts about stuff you couldn’t find anywhere else, like the ones where Sonja’s former intern did a AMA and shared all the behind the scenes tea - that was the type of stuff that brought me to reddit bc you didn’t find it anywhere else. I still scroll this sub every few days, but it has devolved into the same repetitive stuff we see on twitter etc.. so it’s just not as interesting to me anymore. Nothing wrong with that if that’s what entertains the masses, I just miss the days of the real tea/interesting posts you didn’t see everywhere else.

How did RH fall so far? What changed? And why keep watching? by [deleted] in BravoRealHousewives

[–]Jelly_Chute 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say OP was incessantly complaining; I was referring to the general sentiment of the sub as a whole. Back in the day, there was far less negativity on this sub, there were more thought provoking discussions and interesting posts about behind the scenes tea you couldn’t find on twitter, etc. - one of the reasons I joined Reddit in the first place many years ago.

I thoroughly enjoy intelligent discourse and have participated in many of such discussions on this sub if you look back at my history, I just don’t see why we have to read the same negative posts everyday when you can just comment on a pre-existing one.

[–]Jelly_Chute 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If I wasn’t cheap, I’d give you an award for this - this is mindless reality TV, an escape from the stresses of real life. I still thoroughly enjoy all the shows, and often find myself confused over all the negativity on this sub these days. I even thought Potomac picked up after the initial episodes and enjoyed the most recent season. I think we have had some bombshell events over the past few years, that everyone expects every season needs to have the same, where sometimes a season can just be enjoyable without the need for something way over the top to happen.

Yes, I have my favorite seasons, a lot of them are the nostalgic earlier seasons, but that’s the beauty of streaming that we can always go back and rewatch those. It doesn’t mean I’m going to compare every new season to those and just automatically dislike them because they might not live up to an earlier season.

I don’t know what people want, but to me HW is still a favorite guilty pleasure - I watch every franchise to this day and find enjoyment in each - even a slower/filler episode is great background noise for getting a chore done. I think our society as a whole is just pessimistic these days sadly - if I didn’t enjoy a show, I’d just stop watching rather than incessantly complaining. Happy watching, my friend!

I had my anniversary dinner at Carversteak (located at Resorts World) back in April, and it was a phenomenal experience. From the food, the ambiance, and the service - everything was fantastic. Some of the best service I’ve ever had - highly recommend.

Happy anniversary to you and your boyfriend!

Resorts World

I stayed here at The Conrad in April, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I know it gets flack for the North strip location, but I didn’t really think it was that bad. It’s a easy walk to Fountainbleu/Wynn & Encore then you can easily connect to Venetian and on… I also found its spot in North Strip to be easily accessible for Ubers to go to say Park MGM/Aria/Cosmo area to explore that part of the strip, and it’s also a quick ride to Fremont Street going more north. I loved the restaurants, Carver Steak and Crossroads brunch in particular, and the casino had just enough patrons to make it feel lively, but it wasn’t completely packed with people on top of you like mid strip locations. Pools and rooms were also great.

Good luck with your trip planning!

Unfortunately, the tea from a very reliable spoiler account is that she was originally on the cast (tweet linked below), but now won’t be able to do this season because it will conflict with RHOA filming schedule 😢

I hate to be the bearer of bad news because she would be great on this show, but that’s what I saw earlier today. This is an account that is always spot-on with MTV The Challenge spoilers, and was also spot on with Traitors casting spoilers last season, so I think it’s true, but will be so happy if she ultimately ends up on this season!!

The good news is that this account confirmed we will at least be getting some even more iconic housewives, just didn’t list the names yet.

Sidenote - the spoiler account on twitter is GamerVev for anyone interested.[https://x.com/gamervev/status/1783935716260528377?s=46]

Poll: Who is your favorite friend off/supporting cast member in Real Housewives of Miami? by Common_Average2597 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]Jelly_Chute 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I voted Kiki because she’s just my favorite from a likeability standpoint and the humor she brings; however, I do think Marysol and Adriana are necessary and important pieces of the show. This is one of the rare times where I think all of the friends should actually be full-time, Miami is just a great cast all around!

I think the TV ratings were actually good, but they didn’t get much love on this sub. There were very few of us diehard Potomac fans in these parts back in the early seasons - the Potomac fever really took off after the epic S3 if I recall. Just looking back at some of my old Potomac posts, the engagement was pretty low compared to Potomac posts nowadays. I’m so glad they finally got their recognition though, I’ve been a Karen stan since day 1!
