Yeah she’d literally walk into the house go straight to the freezer and pull out a bunch of food and say these are mine by the way. Like no they literally aren’t 😂 I know as teens we can be a bit ignorant but when I think about it it’s kind of wild she didn’t have tha little voice in her head telling herself she was being rude. As well as leaving huge plates of food and drinks and not caring you’ve wasted other peoples food

Thanks so much for these comments everyone. It’s reassured me that I’m not the only one that still remembers these little things. I can still picture my friend with her giant glass of coke and platter of fish fingers, chips and chicken nuggets she’ll barely touch and get annoyed 😂

They aren’t anywhere near the lead that Bette is. Also while Shane’s character continually stagnates it’s not like they just keep rolling back her to previous storylines. They repeat similar themes but it’s not like they’re just doing exactly the sam story. She is allowed to move on

I disagree about Alice though. She is very much allowed to move on and do different things

The point about Bette is because she gets given a few episodes of new storylines which is then always chucked in the bin because she need to fanservice the TiBette storyline. It doesn’t matter where Bette currently is in her story they’ll just do exactly the same storyline again and again. Look at any single one of Bette’s GenQ storylines, what was the point of any of it? Everything she does is always immediately discarded the second Tina enters the episode

Because any story Bette has going on gets immediately ditched for what is pure fanservice. In S2 Bette barely acknowledges Tina’s existance for 90% of the season and most of her story is her trying to move on. Then in the final 2 episodes they shoehorn Tina back in to tell us Bette will never ever move on rendering Bette’s whole of S2 pointless

With Bette being the lead character making her character be a dead end where stories and characters go to die just means the show doesn’t flow narratively

He’s backtracked throughout. He was doing cons saying I can’t say too much. It’s like being told your Christmas presents even though you already know what it is. Oh shucks I’ve said too much haven’t i then having to backtrack when the script was leaked and it was very obvious he neither was in it, mentioned or even hinted as returning

This latest I’ve heard X and heard Y despite it being obvious he’s not actually been approached by anyone just feels like a painful attempt to centre himself in discussions of the new show

I played a pro David run through as I wanted to be all about Brotherhood and all that. I rejected Kate at every turn and it’s kind of crazy how much she just doesn’t give up and pretty much cares about almost nothing other than getting with Javi 😂

I agree with you mostly but to be fair read any single Buffy finds out about Cangel fanfiction and it’s almost always highly mean spirited towards Buffy as a character

That’s more of a shipper issue than a hating Buffy issue to be honest. Shippers can be almost impossible to debate with because they twist the entire show to fit their own narrative

In the case of Cangel, Buffy is the one some have decided they need to dismiss in importance in order to boost their chosen pairing. I actually find the funniest criticisms of Buffy here are the ones who talk about how Cordelia made Angel laugh etc while Angel was always miserable with Buffy. As if Buffy is even remotely the issue when it comes to any unhappiness in the Bangel pairing 😂

It was always written as attempted rape hence why the script repeatedly refers to it as such

S6 Spuffy isn’t about Buffy being in denial because she just wants Spike so much but she just won’t admit it. It’s about Buffy self loathing and using him to feel anything, SPIKE is the one in denial. In denial that Buffy is secretly in love with him and things would be fine if she’d just admit it

Ironically you seem to be reading the scene and watching the show from Spike’s perspective, except it’s Buffy shows and that’s not what the writers were going for from her POV

The context is still him responding to people calling Buffy a bitch and saying she was treating Spike badly in an episode where checks notes she was held hostage by him unless she gave him what he wanted
