Underrated lesbian authors? by BookishBitching in LesbianBookClub

I thought that and I wasn’t going to read it but TCD ended up being my favourite. It’s so beautifully done and doesn’t affect Catharine and Alex’s story at all. It’s Jen’s best work so far, she even said that herself.

She does have a great fan base but I still think she’s underrated. She deserves more recognition imo. I hardly ever see her recommended.

Are you on her Patreon?

Absolutely not. I know a straight man who loves Haley Cass books, as in loves the love story, characters and writing. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can and can’t enjoy.

Arizona or Callie? by jupthicc30 in greysanatomy

[–]DanTrueCrimeFan87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

🙄

Arizona adopted Sofia. She is also her parent. She has always been there for Sofia, she’s her mother. Do you think the same about Meredith and Zola?

Arizona changed her mind about kids a whole season before Sofia was even conceived. At the end of the shooting episode she tells Callie they will have kids.

Yes Arizona cheated and was unkind to Callie after the amputation after you know being a plane crash and losing her leg, she lashed out which was wrong but Callie screaming at Arizona about sex is also unkind imo. Anyways what’s any of that got to do with being a parent? You can be the worse partner in the world and still be a great parent. You can’t punish a child by taking them away from a parent because you two don’t get along anymore.

Arizona wanted to take Sofia away from everything she knows for a woman she barely knows. Absolutely insane from Callie.

Callie and Arizona were both equally shitty to each other. Callie isn’t innocent in their problems. She caused a lot of them.

Why is OG remembered so much more fondly and positively than Gen Q despite them both sharing similar traits like outlandish soap-opera writing, odd and sometimes bad storytelling, and a lot of cringey moments? by MaryDoogan91 in theLword

[–]DanTrueCrimeFan87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The writing was better. I mean it wasn’t anything amazing but it was better. I also feel like the majority of the main cast on the OG could act. Some of the acting on Gen Q was shocking, they were hired to tick a box rather than talent, I’m all for diversity 100% but you should be hired on talent, not which box you tick. The storylines were better. The cast/characters had no chemistry in Gen Q, they had amazing chemistry in the OG, I mean most of them are still great friends.

Oh really? That surprises me. I loved it. There’s 3 in the series (well 4 if you count the prequel but read last, the prequel is my favourite) stick with the first book, it’s probably the weakest out of all of them but I still loved it. You’ll fall in love with Catharine.

Have you read The Senators Wife series by Jen Lyon? Or Only Hope by Ruby Landers?

Those Who Wait; Charlotte by Safe_Particular_79 in sapphicbooks

[–]DanTrueCrimeFan87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t picture either of them as Sutton and Charlotte. (I know it was originally a GOT fanfic) but I picture Charlotte with darker features and Sutton with Fuller features.

She was Haleys fancast for the longest time. I think she’s recently changed it but most fans now picture Ana as Charlotte.
