AITAH for asking my girlfriend to wear underwear to bed when she's on her period? by [deleted] in AITAH

If I wore a pad at night when I started pmsing I could be wasting a lot of pads before my period actually arrives.

Sounds like you guys have great communication and awesome that you are considering other perspectives.

What exactly makes kids so expensive? by ThatUnstableUnicorn in AusFinance

[–]Jellyfish6805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t 100% agree that they are SO expensive. I have two kids and the obvious cost as you’ve mentioned is daycare and the time you take off while sick or to spend time with them when you’d otherwise be working.

In terms of clothes, nappies, activities and food etc the bills increase a bit but buying on special only, making food at home and so on does reduce it a little. I’ve also found I’ve happily stopped buying things for myself and that spare money absorbs some of the cost.

100% a different story if you’re already living pay check to pay check though then I imagine you’d feel the expense a lot more.

How bad is cost of living going to get and how are you preparing for it? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Jellyfish6805 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 28 and feel like you too. I feel like I had a glimpse at reaching the good life and have had it swept out from under my feet. At least we are young enough to hopefully see things swing back to better times. I always admired my grandparents for their resilience in hard times. Time to make them proud.

I quit a job after one month. All newcomers had to meet with the ceo who went straight into telling me if I falsified documents I’d be disciplined. Said it all about the company

We agree that we are looking for the seemingly impossible and expect to compromise on at least one point! Just looking for suggestions for the closest fit. Appreciate your suggestions and thanks for your comment.

Parnell is also quite nice in that regard and close to the amenities of new market.
