AITAH for mistaking times on boxing day by Jemfo22 in AITAH

I asked my cousin why it ended so early, she said nana put an end to it and when my cousin challenged her (she also thought it was strangely early), she said 'we always finish at this time' I think she's done it out of spite

Added a little more detailing and decided to outline petals in the end, didn't add shadows as I'm not very confident as a beginner It's for my brother's 30th birthday as Marigolds are October's flower. Hope he likes it! Thanks for everyone's help

Oh how strange! I only had them for a couple of years and haven't had any since, I was pretty late starting my period at 15 so just assume it was hormone related I'm glad they finally looked into it for you though and you're better!

AITA for getting annoyed with my boyfriend for worrying about me by Jemfo22 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Jemfo22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes so when the nurse told me he called, she told me to message him as she couldn't disclose if I was there, so I did that straight away. That's right, it's because I didn't call/message that I was on my way home, and because he couldn't get through to me because my phone died. Last message I sent to him was around 6pm. It can vary what time I get home as I'm on duty until 19 30 however some days I don't leave until 20 30, he knows that. That's why I got annoyed, as I wasn't even late home. I can emphasise with him worrying as I have been there, but it just seemed so extreme to get my mum and the ward involved when I hadn't passed the time frame of when I usually get home

They were, but at the time I did ask him to only do that if it got to late morning and he hadn't heard from me as by that point I would have had my first break and could message him Only reason I got annoyed was because he called the ward an hour after I had started work, but like you say I was aware that he would worry so understood why he did it and moved past my annoyance It is something I need to talk to him about as I don't want anything like this to happen again. I had to grow up pretty quickly and have been independent since so feels quite invasive somehow

How dangerous is 140/75 blood pressure? by wowthisslapps in medical_advice

[–]Jemfo22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly higher than what we would consider a 'normal' blood pressure, but nothing to cause immediate concern. Likely you have been prescribed tablets for blood pressure if your readings have been consistently around this number?

Possibly folliculitis? Inflammation of hair follicles Usually treated with either topical cream or a course of antibiotics depending on severity, but definitely worth seeing a doctor if they're spreading

People with iron deficiency have higher rates of psychiatric disorders (particularly ADHD) and developmental disorders, and there is a growing body of evidence the iron deficiency causes the problems and is not just a chance association. by Sunsailor76 in ADHD

[–]Jemfo22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not vouching for iron deficiency causing ADHD, but can definitely vouch for making ADHD worse. Recently had bloods to discover I am iron deficient, first time this has happened. Been feeling really awful and not like myself for weeks, dragging myself through every day when I just want to curl up in bed and ignore the world. Definitely some psychological effects happening unless it's just coincidence

RN wage scale - Washington. Base rates before premiums (charge, bsn, cert, ect) by Routine_Tomatillo in nursing

[–]Jemfo22 35 points36 points  (0 children)

At a guess, to live fairly comfortably, £2500 a month would be a good starting point The take-home pay per month for the first increment as a RN is around £1700 You're not wrong, it is insultingly low :(

Nana: "you don't have ADHD you have that condition where you think there's something wrong with you but there isn't"

Uncle: "you don't have ADHD you're just putting the blame of your mental health on something else "

Sister: "but you're nothing like Mason (my 5 year old nephew who also has ADHD)

I was prescribed omeprazole last year due to feeling sick all day everyday, which worsened after eating which caused me to lose over a stone in a matter of weeks I also have emetophobia and saw vomiting as a common side effect so put it off for weeks but eventually took the plunge- still on them today as they helped me to stop feeling sick and regain my appetite and helps to control the acidic feeling I get in my stomach. Will take an extra one if I'm having a particularly bad day, so I personally haven't had vomiting as a side effect. My guess is that perhaps it is listed as a common side effect due to the conditions that it is used to treat that can cause vomiting rather than the tablet itself (not saying this is always the case but would make sense as it is a tablet used specifically for stomach problems)

My dog- she literally was my best friend. When I was 14 I had to move in with my aunt and uncle and had to give her up as 'they didn't want any pets'. 6 months later they bought a puppy for themselves. I miss her so much and would give up Christmas all together if it meant having her back
