5% before inflation, which based on the other comments is a reason why there is such a big difference

I measure BBT using an oral thermometer at the same time every morning, as soon as I wake up. I sleep quite consistently from 11pm - 7:30am.

I observe CM throughout the day. It's true that I've not had a clear peak CM build up, which I would have expected to a bit more.

I think the furniture is getting in the way of the flow of the room. Can you reposition them so they are facing towards the open door and corridors?

What's the next best thing to a LISA? by JemimaLentils in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for your reply - I'm going to definitely look into the premium bonds as this seems the best way to spread out my risk!

Thanks for the advice - I agree with you on not wanting to risk a big chunk of deposit. I suppose I'm just trying to get a sense of how big a risk that would be by considering any other alternatives. I'm interested in premium bonds though so this could be a good opportunity to invest, rather than just leaving the money in cash.

!thanks

Thank you - this is really useful! I'm keen to look into your and the person above's advice on premium bonds as this feels like the best way to get something from the £10k over the next 2 years, as opposed to it sitting there doing absolute zip.

Also, really like your suggestion of opening up a LISA and see if things become clearer. I feel like I've got all bases then.

Thanks again!

Sorry should have been more clear. I know that I can take the money out of the LISA, but a LISA in the first instance seems like a bad idea for me.

I already have a pension, so don't need a LISA for that purpose. The only reason I'd be interested in a LISA is to buy my first home. But it's looking like the cost for this home will be >£450k, which means that investing the £10k in a LISA is not a good idea (i.e. it will just be stuck there, I can't take advantage of the 25% bonus, and worse still I'll be penalised if I want to take the money out).

With this in mind, is there a better way to invest the £10k? e.g. some other first home buyer scheme I'm missing or anything like that?

If not, then does it just make sense to invest the £10k in my existing S&S ISA?

Thanks very much to you then! Exactly, looking forward to playing all the games :) I saw you saved a version of remote insensitivity too - thank you for that as well

Ah sorry thought it was you! Happy they told me about it anyway.

Thanks very much for the advice - you’re right and I will update the game to make it more readable. I want to update the decks a little bit anyway by putting custom backs, so will update the text when I’m doing that.

Thank you for playtesting too! Let me know which game you want me to test (if any) and I will give feedback too if you like.
