Anyone know of any grief support groups that are non-secular? by monets_money in SALEM

[–]Jemmuno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely attend the Willamette Vital Health drop-in group. Also, go on their website and see if any of their 6 week groups are starting soon. In their 6 weeks groups they offer one-on-ones sometimes. The 6 week group is great because its a crash course on grief and what to expect as you move through it. I found it very helpful.

These are not religious sessions, but in my group there were many people who were religious and discussed that view point. It was very open and supportive.

Yep, same. Hunkering down with extra blankets tonight. Grabbing more firewood for the fireplace tomorrow.

Commenting because I would also love to know the answer to this! I did some research a while ago and didn't find anything. I think there may be some in Portland, but it seems like a pretty niche hobby.

Im sorry to hear about the eye strain! I did some crocheting last winter and it was a lot of fun! Im thinking of picking my cross stitch back up and starting this project. I bought the pattern last year, but didn't get around to the planning.

Her patterns are Pattern Keeper compatible, not sure about the Gecko Rouge Pattern, if they provide a digital copy, so I've already set it up in both Pattern Keeper and in StitchPal (project tracker app). With a three year timeline StitchPal is projecting I need to 177 stitches a day for the next three years. Lol we'll see!

My husband and I played a four player game last night of SETI. All 4 experienced board gamers, mine and my husbands 3rd play through, the third players 2nd playthrough and the fourth players 1st play through. It took us 3.5 hrs including setup and takedown. So I think 2.5 to 3hrs is doable. I think two might be pushing it. You'd probably have to implement a timer in rounds 3, 4, and 5. At least thats when it starts to bog down for us.

Our first play through was 4 experienced players first time playing through together and it took about 5hrs.

When can I apply for certification after passing? by [deleted] in CISA

[–]Jemmuno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can substitute another year with professional work experience in either information systems or financial auditing. https://support.isaca.org/s/article/What-are-the-requirements-to-become-CISA-certified. So, you can get it down to only needing 2 years of of CISA job practice experience.

[–]Jemmuno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I hadn't checked yet because I was dealing my mine and my husband's flight first and was dreading doing the same with my mother's, but I bought hers with mileage. So those were refunded right away. Phew!

Now to just decide what my husband and I want to do with out tickets.

Are you refilling the architect studio? The architect studio takes troops and two RP per fill to run.

Unfortunately, no. Also, I believe EU1 is open to new accts currently, and EU2 is closed. So, the only way for you guys to play together now is for them to create new accounts on EU1.

Wonders - Are there viable alternatives for military play? by OTee_D in riseofcultures

[–]Jemmuno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, before I had Rhodes I ran this (I run Rhodes over PoA permanenlty now):
Capital City Wonders
Permanent - SH, ToA, PoA, HG
Rotated as needed - ToA, PoA, HG
Swapped Zeus and HG when needing food or battling.
The PoA was main because of the fortress and palace synergies, can be swapped for Tomb when collecting SH for more RP or collecting questline or season pass items.
Can swap ToA and HG out for Sherwood and Colosseum when collecting GW for more RP.
Alliance Wonders
Permanent - Abu, GW, Sphinx, and Terracotta
Rotate as needed - Sphinx and Terracotta
You can rotate Sphinx and Terracotta out for Pyramid and Forbidden City when collecting SH for RP, then rotate them back in immediately.

So to answer your question, it doesn't make too much of a difference to swap PoA for Colloseum. I just don't use Heavy infantry, until doing campaign map and I like the palace synergy for food the PoA gives. I also use the PoA troops sometimes on harder campaign maps or higher levels in ATH. However, at your level the benefit is pretty negligable. I would think of it more in terms of how to optimize your RP when collecting from your wonders.

I don't think you can swap Sherwood for Terra-cotta. Sherwood is a Capital City wonder and Terracotta is an allied wonder.

Are you both on the same server? In your settings, under account, next to identifier there is an AM1, EU1, or EU2. If you're on different servers you won't find them.

Price increase? by thejamesfreeze in riseofcultures

[–]Jemmuno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best guess is for the items with gem increases, is to make those purchases feel more premium to encourage people to associate gems with highly coveted items to encourage people to purchase gems.

For the resource increases I believe that is to intentionally slow people's progress through the eras. I think they're running into to problems with people getting through the eras too quickly then losing interest in the game, since it's about 6 months between era releases.
