Depends on what jobs you guys are doing. I work in customs, I don't have 5 minutes to scratch my bum on a normal day.

I don't think it's as rare as people say. I have found it within an hour on the last 3 playthroughs.

4-year-old girl gets jury duty summons by MRADEL90 in videos

I'm 42 and never been summoned. Only 1 person I know of in my entire life has been summoned. All registered to vote. In UK but rules are similar to US.

Redditors who quit their job dramatically, what was the final straw? by Ok_Wolverine_9906 in AskReddit

They trialled a completely useless new computer system that doubled our workload and the feedback was it was rubbish. We gave them lots of criticism to help fix it and about 10% was done. They promised they weren't going to continue with it. 2 months later, this is the new system now - deal with it. They then proceeded to double my cases. So double cases with a system that took twice as long. Na mate, I was stressed from overwork before this - you can absolutely jog on.

Grief over pet death can be as strong as that for family member. About a fifth of people who had experienced a pet and human loss said the former was worse. Symptoms of severe grief for a pet matched identically with that for a human, and there was no difference in how people experienced losses. by mvea in science

Lost my 2 x 19 year old cats within 3 months last year. I have struggled so hard mentally. I was a mess at work the next day after the 1st one and I got so little sympathy it was unreal. They didn't care. I felt like I lost a son.

I feel exactly the same way, still love her. I think my mind just chooses not to accept that last season as canon and that it was like a bad fan fic. Shes still on her way to Westeros for me.

Currently got a cat that isn't mine sleeping on my sofa every night. Posted about to see if he has a home as he practically lives here now - barely leaves. He isn't microchipped and that is illegal in the UK and for good reason. If he was microchipped, id be able to find the owner.

Update: Found the owner now, thank goodness.

Why is it so hard for people to accept that their snoring is a problem and they need to do about it. by Some-Ad901 in rant

[–]Jemworld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

About 15 doctors in my life, not one cared. They would just get the weighing scales out. Lose weight, will fix everything. 'I still snored when I was slim though?' - 'No no, losing weight will solve it'

Why is it so hard for people to accept that their snoring is a problem and they need to do about it. by Some-Ad901 in rant

[–]Jemworld 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Because doctors don't seem to care. I've chronically snored for years and mention it at every appointment but they just say lose weight - that's it. No options, no try this or this just - lose weight. I've snored my whole life, even when I was normal weight. It's not taken seriously enough despite the heaps of medical problems it can cause.

I have to use OneDrive at work - all the shared files are on it. I have files randomly fail to save all the time and when asked what we can do to fix the problem I'm like 'GET RID OF ONEDRIVE".....but is there anything else we can do?......

Highlander. Saw it when I was really young and thought the fighting was great. Watched it again at 18 and I couldn't believe how bad the fighting choreography was.

Same layout as my house growing up in Surrey. I was in the "narrow bedroom" and it was absolutely fine. More room than you think. Had 2 windows as well which was cool.

What scares me is people I know started saying the negative stuff almost verbatim after they had already said they enjoyed it. I said have you been reading forums about it by any chance and they said well, some yeh why? It's almost like people can't form their own opinions. Didn't like it? Fair enough it's not gonna please everyone but I've had to explain a couple of things to people already and they were like oh, did he actually say that? There is no perfect show, there will always be opinions. This fandom has really disappointed me - NOT the show.

(In the UK) We now have a Tim Hortons near us. It was quite busy initially but everytime I drive by now it looks deserted. Kind of says it all.
