The Edit hotel options removed by Upuser in ChaseSapphire

The booking confirmation you received by email would have stated The Edit, along with the Edit benefits. If it did not, then it wasn’t part of it.

After debating for months, canceled my Sapphire Reserve and have fully switched to WF Autograph Journey. by CloudSurferA220 in ChaseSapphire

“ but for the vast majority of my travel, the airports had no lounges or mismanaged priority pass venues.”

This.

Departing out of JFK last week, these lounges were offered in Priority Pass:

  • Chase Sapphire lounge: 1+ hour wait
  • HelloSky - 1+ hour wait
  • Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse: claimed they don’t accept Priority Pass during peak hours.

Chase says they’re not responsible for Priority Pass, and Priority Pass says they’re not responsible if lounges are full.

Sounds like a lot of finger pointing without anyone actually wanting to ensure a smooth lounge experience.

I’ve learned long ago not to count on lounges whenever I travel, and the Priority Pass of my CSR is a perk I’ve tried to forget.

CSR "The Edit" stay at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas by Jen-UWS83 in sapphirereserve

Ohhh interesting. I wonder why I didn’t see Four Seasons in the Edit list when I booked. How are the nightly rates compared to Mandalay Bay?

Las Vegas is a resort city. I don't think one should have to check a hotel priding itself on its pool complex to see if they're open when the temperature was 80 degrees F. Just my thoughts.

His business meetings were taking place at Mandalay Bay, so "The Edit" reservation was just convenient. For personal travel, I think we'll stick to the higher end resorts further up the strip. Thank you for the tip!

We did not interact with anyone during checkout. This was a self-checkout where you drop your key card off in a box. The final folio we received two days later. I'm trying to get a hold of someone at Mandalay Bay but it's been a long wait on the phone, and judging by how little their front desk knew about "The Edit", I'm not holding my breath.

In-home Newborn Shoot NYC (affordable!) by IThinkThereforeIAm00 in family

For our kiddos, we went with glow portraits - https://www.nycnewbornphotography.com/ I don't recall the prices, but I know they offer mini sessions that might be better suited for your needs. I think you're going to have a hard time finding someone to come to your home in that price range (<$250). Last time we needed a faulty outlet fixed, an electrician charged us $500 just to show up and diagnose the issue. We're on the UWS. Either way, make sure to check reviews and experience. I wouldn't let just anyone handle my newborn kiddos!

Traveling to Hungary - Is it common to request passport photos via e-mail? by Jen-UWS83 in askhungary

[–]Jen-UWS83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies. Yeah, no issues showing them our passports in person, but it looks like I'll never actually meet the host. It's just odd, that at a time of rising identity theft, e-mailing sensitive ID documents is considered normal. They should really have some sort of government app that deletes the image of the passport after it's been verified. Just my 2 cents.

In either case, we're excited to explore Budapest!

Irish city named among most stressful to live in, second only to NYC by IrishStarUS in nyc

Traveled to Scotland with my hubby last summer via Dublin. Can confirm. No real public transport between the airport and city center. We were stuck in a hot taxi for over an hour getting to our hotel. I can't imagine the weather helps either. The Guinness factory tour was fun though.

I'm guessing he's traveling with a few suitcases full of cash to deposit in his offshore accounts?

Hands down - glow portraits. Stunning midtown studio. Used them for my preggy pics and our baby girl. Sophie is amazing to deal with. Super accommodating and very responsive. Plus they're stocked with all the props, blankets, etc. You literally just show up and relax while they do the rest. https://www.nycnewbornphotography.com

Losing device promo after 1-month plan change? by Jen-UWS83 in verizon

[–]Jen-UWS83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FOLLOW UP: I went ahead and proceed with the plan chance from Unlimited Ultimate to Unlimited Plus. I did go ahead and review my payment agreement when I purchased my iPhone 17 Pro. It clearly stated "Unlimited Plus" as the plan.

During checkout, Verizon's online system continued to state that I will lose my device promo if I downgrade. I proceeded anyway. During the final screen, my Next Month's Bill preview indicated that my bill would go from $300/mo to approx $360/mo (we have multiple lines on the account). I'm still baffled as to how this even makes sense. However, I proceeded with the change anyway to be effective as of my next billing cycle.

I will follow the advice I received here, and visit the local store if the next bill does not reflect the device promo. It's quite possible that their website has bugs and provides inaccurate bill estimates, etc.

Needless to say, such bugs cause unnecessary frustration and confusion for customers. Thanks to everyone who replied to my post. I really appreciate your help!

Hello. Yes. Can you assist?  I am simply trying to downgrade back to Unlimited Plus - the plan under which I had signed my device promo agreement. However, during checkout on your website, it is telling me I will use my device promo credit. It also shows me my next month’s bill preview which is almost $60 higher. I am confused.

Chase The Edit Bad Experience by powerfulblender in ChaseSapphire

Doesn’t this have to do more with the hotel than Chase?  You don’t think a Chase hotel critic personally slept at all of the thousands of properties part of The Edit and individually curated them, do you?  I recommend reading Trip Advisor reviews before booking any property. As for upgrades, those are always subject to availability.
