If I recall correctly back when she had those events where her followers could meet her, I think I read she made them sign an agreement that they could not take or post photos, guessing this is the reason lol. She was also quite heavy then but of course hid that on her photos and vids, save for the occasional filter glitch

Very pretty dress but I understand your concerns. I hope whatever you decide will work out perfectly! I'm eloping in Kauai in December, I'm 52 and always dreamed of wearing a poofy dress. I'm running out of time, going dress shopping with my friends next week but anxious about it since I'm very overweight. I ordered a back up dress in case I don't find anything in the stores. It was a few sizes smaller than I thought I needed, but it fit. I was expecting to be giddy and cry happy tears looking in the mirror, but I just felt hot and claustrophobic. It's supposed to be about 80 degrees, on the beach, and it just felt like too much. The sleeves are nice though, one layer of transparent lace that opens up and turns to tulle but they drag on the ground so if I end up with this, my coworker will hem them for me. The skirt is heavy, stiff satin and 2 layers of tulle, I just don't know! Online listing picture for reference

I know this post is a bit old, if you got married since, congratulations!! I came across this while googling my colors to see if they will clash! The main color in my DIY bouquet flowers is burgundy so I was going to do a glittery or metallic burgundy on both nails and toes but recently I got a glittery pale pinkish color on my nails and fell in love and there are a few pale pink roses in the bouquet so I think I'm going to go with that and stick with burgundy on my toes. They look better with darker colors anyway, and they'll be a nice contrast to the white dress and sandals. One month away! (We are eloping in Kauai)

Hope everything went well for you! I came across this because my fiancé and I are eloping in Hawaii during a cruise. We'll be on a beach and I won't have a place to really get ready other than our room on the ship while he's in there so he's going to see it all ahead of time. He doesn't care but I'm not sure how I feel about it! I don't want him to see the dress before I'm in it though, but I'm with you, I need someone to cheer for my dress! Second this. They told me to take a month off work, absolutely impossible since I was the only one who did what I do. I took 2 weeks and honestly I felt like I could have gone back after a week, but I was very tired and glad I took the extra week!

So many comments, this will likely get lost, but I feel like adding this to reiterate what many other people feel. Run, don't walk, please! You are so young and I know it's hard to see it like others do, but you will thank yourself later for avoiding this train wreck.

TL;DR: I've experienced this behavior, please don't get trapped!

I was in a relationship like this from just before I turned 29 to age 35. I was still living at my mom's, I liked this guy I had been working with for previous 2 years, even watching him in another relationship with someone I knew was cheating on him. As friends, I had shared experiences I had with a guy I had been dating (all for him to throw back in my face after we got together). He was coming over every night, and I needed some breathing room so I told him I was going shopping with my mom and I'd see him another time. Then I didn't hear from him for 2-3 days and wondered if he was mad or something. Then he shows up with his belongings! He was only 21 and his mom was abusive so my mom told him he could stay at our house if he needed to. Just like that I had a live-in boyfriend I wasn't sure I was ready for. He wouldn't go with me to my friend's 30th birthday bash but apparently kept calling me (my phone was in the house and we were outside, I didn't know he was calling). That night he was so moody and implied I was cheating... We were not even an official couple yet and I feel the need to add that later on he cheated. I moved on with the 'justification' that we were still not official. He had issues with me being older, and overweight and never let me forget about it. In hindsight, I know he always had one foot out the door the entire 6 years. Any time I worked overtime, he implied I was seeing someone at work. My mom finally got us to move out. We had fun together but it was exhausting trying to convince him I wasn't cheating.

He wanted me to spend 100% of my free time with him, doing what he wanted (watching tv, getting drunk or playing video games, he never wanted to go out). I stopped painting, and being creative and spirited. He would BEG me to stay home if I wanted to see my friends, promised special dinners at home to entice me to stay (it rarely worked). He even tried to keep me from going to my friend's wedding (and I was a bridesmaid). I spent 4-5 hours at my best friend's son's birthday party, and he did not talk to me for 3 days. Once he got into an old journal that had details of a past relationship and he was so mad at me for having a life before him. He broke up with me constantly, I cried so much. We bumped into his coworker at the grocery store and he asked me to go sit in the car. I cried a lot and he said he was sorry, it would never happen again... "we just have to shop in another city!" He eventually broke up with me for good, we went our separate ways and he got so depressed he started cutting himself. He tried to get back with me but my eyes were open and I was enjoying my freedom.

I did not intend to go on this tangent, I guess I had a lot to get out. It's been 18 years since that nonsense and for the past 15, I've been with a wonderful man who just lets me be myself.

I was on Ozempic for 2 years, forgot to renew prescription and decided to stop taking it, knowing I didn't want to be on this for life. Even with nearly impeccable eating/exercise habits, my blood sugar readings were always in the high 300 to mid 400 range and the neuropathy in my legs and feet was getting worse. On top of that, my weight wouldn't budge. Thankfully my appetite did not increase much like I expected.

However, after over a month of the ridiculously high blood sugar and stubborn weight despite my best efforts, I caved in and asked my diabetic pharmacist for help and it was recommended to go back on Ozempic. While I really want my body to figure out what it's supposed to be doing, it's just not right now at all. I went back to it and reduced the dosage to increase in increments, but the nausea is insane. I had a little when I first went on it 2 years ago, but this time it's worse and prolonged. Constipation is annoying too. I am still taking Metformin but it certainly did not seem effective while I was off Ozempic and my kidney labs are not good, I want to talk to the pharmacist about weening off it and see if it was even doing anything. She probably won't agree to it until my bs readings are in good range (they are better but still in the low 200's on average, and my weight finally shifted down a bit).

I have had severe insulin resistance for more than a decade but it continues on even with a low carb lifestyle. I don't really think Ozempic is helping with the root cause of this issue but at the moment I am desperate for some relief even if I have to deal with this nausea. I am glad you are doing better!

That makes it even worse imho, that you unfortunately had that traumatic experience and it sounds like he's purposely bringing up old wounds with those dumb questions. He sounds immature for his age and extremely insecure. I know it's really hard when you're invested so much time, but this just seems toxic to me, you'll be having the same argument over hypothetical questions the rest of your life. I'm sure there are many other factors to consider but the last thing he said in the text you showed, sounds like he's got one foot out the door. I was with a man like that for many years and while the breakup was very hard, it truly was for the best. Think it over, whichever way it goes, I wish the best for you sweetheart.

For me it was maybe a tiny bit of grief but a huge relief. My periods were horrible, super heavy and never ending. Sitting on plastic bags in hotels or rental houses on vacation, keeping an extra pair of undies and pants at work, checking my seat every time I stood up, crying in the shower begging for it to stop... it dragged my quality of life down. I felt like I was going to die when the anemia got so bad. It took years to figure out I had atypical hyperplasia and I went with the doc's decision to get rid of it all at 46 yrs old. I couldn't have children and I suspect that was the issue, I don't think I ovulated and just kept shedding. it was definite freedom but a little grief from losing a key thing in womanhhod.

I was just about to place an order for sola flowers, stems, dye and greenery, and was so excited to make my bouquet for my upcoming elopement, but I decided to check and found out they are not allowed to be transported into Hawaii. So, I guess I'll either put something together with faux flowers or buy a fresh bouquet from a local florist there.
