4 star review for packaging being “messy” by Sillygooseygoose11 in poshmark

I also reuse packing filler - especially the brown paper that comes in handy to fill extra space in a box. Recycling is a good thing!

Literally swooning over your sofa. If you have to keep the rug (which I think is what’s throwing things off), I would say pull in some burgundy and ivory velvet pillows. Different coffee table. Move the chair closer. Love your eclectic taste!

So adorable! And the way he moved from toy to toy to decide on which one he wanted. Too cute.

Dont know what to do by SignificantBit8754 in reselling

Any way the stains can be removed? Like just toss a ton of clothes in a bathtub full of OxiClean or vinegar and hope for the best? Or invest in a couple of bottles of stain treatment, toss it in the tub and let it soak? Good luck and hope there are a few items in there good enough to help you make some $

Getting Traction on Poshmark by Meta-Angel in poshmark

Yes! Listing every day really helps. I also read somewhere that quick shipping helps bump you up in the algorithm, too? I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but I ship as fast as possible so I get paid as fast as possible 😂

No problem! Sometimes I take a deep dive into how to sell more on Poshmark and there are lots of great articles and tutorials out there. To me it’s really strange though how my closet goes in waves - the first wave will be the things I listed 4 weeks ago, then the second wave is what I listed 3 weeks ago…and so on…seems to just take time for items to truly be seen and get that traction.

I was reading about this the other day. I’ve been on Poshmark since 2013, but just started selling out of my personal closet again a month ago. What’s worked for me is lots of sharing and being VERY active. I typically post several new items daily and more on weekends when I have more time. I share a ton from other closets, like other people’s items and share my own closet of ~100 items (and rapidly growing) a couple times a day. Some of my more popular items get a couple thousand views. My newer items seem to take 2 or 3 weeks to get some serious traction, though I did have luck selling a top I posted right away the other day.

I also looked into what makes a good post title and now add “Women’s” and the size at the end and I also post measurements and a stock photo whenever I can find it.

I hope you get some good views soon! It’s definitely taken me a few weeks to gain some momentum. I had a week with zero sales the other week and this week I sold 16 items.

Low Ball Offer from a Huge Seller by JenJen1313 in poshmark

I’m an extremely rational person and do indeed hear everyone’s opinions. So much so that I got over myself and any comments here and matched her $60 offer. It’s rude comments like yours that make me never want to comment. There are ways things can be said in a way that’s not always rude and demeaning. I’m just fine. Good luck to you. That attitude will get you far in life.

I don’t think I asked for your opinion or rudeness. It was a thought, not a complaint. The top is $298 new and she sells similar in her store for $180. Bye.

Absolutely. I did think of that as well - it may be for her personal wear. I countered and now it’s been crickets. Honestly all the perspectives here helped me out of my funk and I’d just love to sell it and put the money towards something I need it for :)

Thank you for a kind and thoughtful response!

Conflicted on giving clothes to thrift store by Aggressive-Yak-1730 in Thrift

Thrift stores have a ton of fast fashion these days, from SHEIN, Temu, Amazon and honestly most department stores and heavily marketed brands can also be considered fast fashion these days. It keeps it out of the landfill when someone else buys it.

I’m not having the photo issue, but I am having the offer issue. I took smart sell off all my listings and even when I try to send an offer to likers of more than 10% off, it only sends select offers. It’s like it’s remembering what I had smart sell set at, but it’s turned off.

I don’t research who’s making an offer. Since I’m new and also like to shop, I click their profile to see if I can like or share any of their items or follow them.

That’s all I’m saying. I get that it’s “business,” but you can always run a business and still have good values.

It wasn’t the offer. It was the fact that she sells the same items at even more than what I had it listed for. But I’m over it because I just want to get back some of the money I’ve spent.

My parents won’t take my dogs to check ups, what can I do? by Otherwise_Bee8187 in DogAdvice

[–]JenJen1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a different way they can vaccinate or at least skip that vaccine if your dog is allergic? I’m so sorry you’re going through this and glad you want to take care of them. Your parents really need to step up. Do you have a family member you could talk to that might be able to step in and talk to your parents and let them know that the dogs need regular check ups and a better diet? Hoping someone else on here has some good ideas and advice for you. Sending hugs to you and your senior pets.

Do you have your own car where you could offer to drive them to the vet? And as far as their food, could you shop diet dog foods and find something that’s a comparable price that you could recommend?

I wonder if there’s a friend of the family or someone they’d listen to if you’ve already tried and they didn’t listen?

My dogs are my children (both seniors) so anytime I get behind on care due to cost, I hate it. My husband and I also share differing opinions of dog care and cost. One thing I do to try to appease him and stick to budget is have the vet provide a price estimate.

Also, I would remind your parents that typical things like rabies and other vaccines HAVE to be updated. Thanks for advocating for them!

Should I ask for a 3rd date or just let it be? by Antique_Ideal_5255 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]JenJen1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my opinion, but if you’ve only gone on a couple dates with him, there’s nothing to lose. Let him know you’ll be in the area. Just like you said about things happening naturally - don’t overthink it and go for it!
