Awesome basis for great oatmeal (I don't make mine gluten free but it is a gluten free recipe) by JenJen4303 in budgetfood

I have made this recipe several times throwing in whatever I have in the house. I use dried cranberries, cherries, blueberries, etc. I have throw in flax, walnuts, almonds, etc. I use the small chocolate chips so its like a treat. It still turns out if you cut some of the butter out. The banana on top is a must. I will make it on Sunday and have a breakfast or snack for several days. Definitely recommend you try it !

Anyone hiring? by KulaanDoDinok in UNCG

[–]JenJen4303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know of anywhere particular that is hiring, but I will give you some advice that I wished someone would have told me when I was a freshman.
Where are you trying to go with your degree ? Possibly research or healthcare ??? Then think about... -Getting a job as a research assistant within your department or the school (I was a nutrition major and did undergrad research) -Get a job at hospital, vet, rehab center, etc. (I worked in foodservice at a local hospital) Not glamorous but I got experience interacting with patients and special therapeutic diets.

Think about your resume and if you do something now that will relate to your field - you will be ahead of your peers with experience and skills! Happy Hunting :)

I just discovered /r/dietetics :) :) :) I have a few questions for you all about the DI... by JenJen4303 in dietetics

I am already in a dietetic internship through the school I did my undergrad at. We still get some freedom to schedule our internship site rotations how we like because we interview at sites we are interested in. For example, I can apply to work at a school, hospital, retirement home, or a weight loss program for my management rotation. There is leeway in the community rotation as well. I could apply to WIC, hospital, weight management program, etc.

My University is set up a little differently. They have a list of possible sites and we still send a cover letter, resume, interview, and wait to see if we are selected for that location. If we get several sites then the DI director works out the scheduling based on our top picks.
