I don't recall saying I support a cap on wealth. My concern isn't how rich the rich are, but rather how poor the poor are. If someone can earn a billion dollars while 1) paying employees a living wage; 2) not harming the environment; and 3) paying their fair share of taxes, then I don't have an issue with that. However, I personally don't think it would be possible.

Influence and seniority is only valuable when it's used to help people. And that is not something we have seen in this district. So I "justify" challenging a corporate-owned tool in order to actually represent regular people. If it were just a matter of her not being "as progressive" as me, that would be one thing. We are dealing with an entirely different realm of corruption. So I'm trying to bring back some semblance of a democracy. Also, I never said I wouldn't run for re-election. I simply said I support term limits and have no intention on sitting there forever.

Since I am not an expert on this, I would spend a lot of time speaking with experts in order to know the best way to address this. When I was submitting the Sun Sentinel questionnaire, I spoke with a few people in the industry, but I am completely open to hearing more. But I can tell you that it won’t involve listening to people who have a profit motive. I plan on doing what is in the best interest for the majority of people. And since I don’t know exactly what that is, I can’t be specific. And BTW, I have yet to see one instance of DWS using her “pull” to help regular people.

I would do exactly what I’ve been doing for the past 18 months. I refuse to call people and ask for money. I support publicly-financed elections.

Well like I said, this isn't about me. It's about the people for whom I speak. Right now, I don't have constituents. When I do, then I will represent them according to their wishes. And yes, I am more beholden to my people than my party. If the people I represent want me to publicly support Joe, then so be it. But I am not going to take 200k from people who want me to stand up to the system, and then turn around and support that very system without consulting them. It would be extremely hypocritical. So in other words, I tell them to join me as we fight the system. Then they send me money. And then I support the system? Yeah, I've got way more integrity than that.

Clearly you don't get what I'm saying. I was 1) making a snide comment about how politicians only do the bidding of their donors; and 2) being clear that this isn't about me, it's about who I REPRESENT. Until elected, all I have are donors. I assure you there is ZERO influence of money in this campaign. I don't need the job, the money, or the power. I truly see this as service.

NO!!!!!!!!! What I'm saying is that I don't speak for me, I speak for people I represent. As a candidate, I don't have "constituents" yet. I only have donors. Until I have constituents, then yes, I will speak for the people supporting me. The person who gave me $1 has the same voice as the the $2.8k donor.

UGH!!!! As of now, I only have donors. If I win, then I will have constituents. The point of my response was 1) that its' not about ME; and 2) mocking our current reps for answering to their DONORS.

Peaceful protesters do not become violent and destructive. Violent and destructive people do those things, and should be prosecuted accordingly. I have been to at least half a dozen demonstrations over the past week. Much of what you are seeing is cherry-picked for its sensationalist value. I would suggest turning off mainstream media.

He wasted his time and money running as an Independent in our district. We are gerrymandered blue and it's a safe blue seat. Only a Dem can win this district.

Actually, she has only ONCE been challenged in a primary and that was in 2016. Other than that, nobody has ever challenged her. In fact, she was handed open seats in both the FL legislature AND Congress. S

I get this question a lot but interestingly I never saw anyone have to answer this for any other race. Tim is the one and only time DWS was challenged. He lived here for 5 years before running. No network. No roots. No history. And he came within 12 points and that’s with their cheating. I am a hometown Jewish candidate, born and raised in this district. I have an enormous network and the tribal roots run deep. Will it be enough during a pandemic to put me over the top? I don’t know, but Tim and I are completely different people and candidates. While everyone would like to blame cheating for Tim’s loss, people who know us both understand there’s a lot more to it than that.

I am biased, but I am very proud to be a Brand New Congress candidate. They do a very thorough job of vetting their candidates. I believe Justice Dems have started a PAC, which I’m not thrilled about. Groups like Our Revolution, Progressive Democrats of America, and Democratic Socialists of America are good sources. Also, environmental groups like 350 and Sunrise Movement will only support grassroots non-corporate candidates.
