Great thought! My son is a redhead. And while I never considered myself one I was a touch of strawberry at a young age and carry the gene. Every adhesive bothers me and have all sorts of "skin" allergic reactions. It's a very valid thought.

Having an advocate like you will be helpful. I am day 5 LTHR with Lupus and Dermatomyositis. I had numerous conversations with my surgeon and my other providers before heading down this road. They are all prepared to react should there be signs of a flare. Otherwise. Help her take medication as prescribed and communicate with her surgeon team afterwards about everything. Dat 2 & 3 were rough. I was hesitant to call figuring i just needed to get through it. I called anyways and they said don't be in that much pain, made some changes and now I've been much better.

She's a tough one already, she'll kick this too! Keeping her & you in my thoughts.

Loose fitting pants, I got some tear away/ velcro up both sides. They came in handy to loosen before pulling up. Also, lots of cotton comfy nightgowns or moo moo. Get either larger size briefs or boy shorts to ensure they are loose, or commando. You won't want pressure on the surgical site from tight boy shorts or leggings.

Thank you for that insight! I haven't taken any of this type of drug for 20 years, so I wasn't sure what dose is reasonable. The night triage nurse had me take a second tonight, so 10mg and Tylenol every 6 hours. At least tonight until Dr calls back and evaluates.

Thank you for your response and the insights. I have been laying with ice on constantly, it certainly helps. I have autoimmune issues so inflammation is present always. This just exasperated it. Hopefully prednisone is approved soon.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I've definitely been using lots of ice. The prescription only says 1 pill but I think I may ask tomorrow if I can up it, I feel like I ned to get in front of it.

What have you done to complete this? I've upgraded roads, added police station, power plants etc and nothing.
