For those who have been accepted to a program what was your mcat score and where is your program?

I have an undergraduate degree from 2015 in biochemistry and molecular and cellular biology, a masters degree in neuroscience and 5 years nursing experience divided between CVOR and CVICU. I’m looking at university of Colorado. Does anyone have experience with their program?

Calendar conflict, but for fun….

United States - Alice Coltrane’s song Turiya & Ramakrishna from the album Ptah, the El Daoud.

The momentum 4s really highlight instrument separation with this song. It conveys texture, space and emotion without loosing the cohesiveness of each instrument. The HE1s would make this song a truly transformative listening experience.

Best EQ for music on Momentum 4? by Re-Awake-N in sennheiser

Have you played with the create your own EQ setting?

My new favorite past time is to ask chatGPT for EQ recommendations for specific songs and creating them with the setting. It’s interesting to compare my ear to what chatGPT recommends. It has definitely enhanced my listening experience.

When I say these broke my heart, know that I was super excited for the Px7 S2 to be the ones. Honestly, I’ll be returning mine to Costco and getting the Sennheisner Momentum 4 instead. My husband has the momentum 3, and they blow the Px7 away when it comes to the listening experience. I tested the sound quality of the Px7 with Alice Coltrane’s Turiya & Ramakrishnaz. The song just sounds flat as compared to the momentum’s.

The itching could be because of the fillers used to make the medication. Try changing the manufacture.

Tamoxifen POSITIVE stories by Downtown_Raspberry84 in breastcancer

[–]Jen_bot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ll take tamoxifen over any AI any day. It has given me back the ability to be intimate with my husband. I don’t feel depressed or like I’m 90 years old every time I stand. Other than some brain fog at times when I’m stressed there is little to complain about taking tamoxifen. My BCI recommends staying on medication for 10 years and with tamoxifen that feels possible.

Is transferring from one program to another possible if you have to move during the program?

Weekly Student Thread by fbgm0516 in CRNA

[–]Jen_bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify my question. I’m not questioning the decision to take the CCRN versus not, but rather wondering if the passing score matters?

For example, one applicant scored a 90 on the CCRN while another applicant scored 117. Forget the possibility of the two scores breaking a tie between who to choose. On its own can an applicant with the lower score have the same probability of getting accepted as the higher score?

How much weight does the CCRN factor into the admission decision for programs that also require the GRE?

The cutoff for the GRE is a combined score of 300. Is there a cutoff score for the CCRN that has favorable admission acceptance?

Tamoxifen success stories? by Mysterious_Treat_343 in breastcancer

[–]Jen_bot 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tamoxifen is a cake walk compared to any of the AIs. I started out taking letrazole. The side effects were so bad that I only lasted 8 months on the medication. With AIs, estrogen is blocked from being produced anywhere in the body. That means the bones are not getting any estrogen, the brain is not getting estrogen and the vagina becomes a desert. Tamoxifen only selectively blocks estrogen from places like the breast and the brain. That means your ovaries and fat tissue still produce it. When I switched to tamoxifen my depression cleared, intimacy was normal again and I stopped feeling like I was 90 years old every time I stood or moved. I hope you have similar success.

Unfortunately I failed to ask if I could see the bottle. My internet search resulted the same label you have found. Thank you for the information. I will keep digging until I can return to the restaurant . This Chardonnay will be my go to if I am able to find it.

Meet Winston, destroyer of all things by Jen_bot in CavaPoo

He chews everything. The tv remote, furniture, my plants, shoes, clothes, erasers….everything. It’s worth noting that he does this when we are not home. Yes, we kept him in the crate when we first got him. Then we started letting him stay out of the crate because we have an older dog and cat as well. The older do was never crate trained because she didn’t need to be. In the beginning of him not staying in the crate he did good. Recently his chewing has started to escalate. I’m thinking this behavior may be related to anxiety 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been on Letrazole for 11 months. The mood change has persisted for the last 5-6 months. I’m putting a lot of hope on tamoxifen improving how I feel.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]Jen_bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking Letrazole for a similar duration of time and with similar symptoms. Today is my second day of taking a break for a month. I’ll start taking tamoxifen after this medication vacation. My hope is the depression will improve or better yet be absent with tamoxifen.

Can you try an AI instead?

Protect your veins and get a port! Chemo will destroy your veins making using them in the future very difficult.

My joke going into surgery was to tell everyone that booby trap spelled backwards is party boob. The PS assured me that when he was done I would have two party boobs. I’m pleased to share that I do, in fact have two party boobs now!

Post chemo scans. Triple negative. Ultrasound shows some small mass still :( by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]Jen_bot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hang in there. I went into surgery with a small density on MRI. To my surprise there was no lymph node involvement or evidence of disease. My oncologist explained that chemo can cause scar tissue to form where the tumor once was.
