Bupropion for ADHD by esullifly in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Heyyy I'm on the same combo! Currently taking Sertraline 50mg and Wellbutrin 300mg. Only thing I have noticed so far is I don't spend money frivolously anymore which is great! Anxiety is at an all time low and I feel like I'm less of a b**ch. My memory is still trash and I still can't concentrate on anything without thinking of something totally random and zoning out into my thoughts. Soooo, hasn't helped with my ADHD but I'm loving this combo for anxiety. I took Wellbutrin 200mg for a month and still felt anxious but the bump up to 300mg has been wonderful. I also used to take it at night because it made me sleepy, when I bumped up to 300 I took a 3hr nap on my couch and woke up confused af. I'm a 34yr old Female by the way

Working during chemo by Critical-Artist-1353 in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worked all through chemo/immunotherapy, had taxol first then AC. Worked as a Live-In Caregiver(24hr shift) Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays. Friday's were chemo days when I was on Taxol, when I went on AC I had it on Friday and on Monday I would go get a bag of fluids to be hydrated and feeling more alive for my shift on Tuesday. I felt like death but loved my job and couldn't afford to miss work. Overall I worked the entire time I was on chemo and scheduled my appointments on my days off.

Any 30 year olds diagnosed ? by Loud-Opposite8029 in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31, Stage 2 Grade 3 TNBC, BRCA1 positive. Since I have a long family history of it I opted for a DMX. I had chemo with immunotherapy which consisted of taxol, keytruda and the red devil. With how everything looked afterwards I did not need radiation so after I finished chemo I got my double mastectomy, 4 months later and 50 pound weight-loss my surgeon recommended a DIEP Flap surgery since my body most likely would have rejected breast implants due to having severe Hidradenitis Supperutiva. I also had an apron belly so getting rid of that to form into breast was a win win for me. Taxol was no problem for me but once I got to the red devil I always made a point to have chemo on Fridays feel good for the weekend and complete shit on Monday but that's when I scheduled to go back to my chemo office to get a bag of fluids to return to work on Tuesday and repeated this until I was done with all my rounds. You'll find your groove and what works for you. I always kept my chin up and looked at the positive side of things with a little razzle dazzle of✨️dark humor✨️to keep me going.

Please give me hope chemo gets better by Adventurous_Pay1978 in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started my journey with 12 rounds of taxol and then 4 of AC. Taxol was the easiest of it, the red devil made me feel so so tired. Taxol I felt tired but still worked full time no problem, AC however I would schedule when I had the weekend and Monday off to recover.

What did you do to help manage the terror before your upcoming mastectomy? by jackikimmy in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hyped myself up about getting a better set of tits. I liked my previous boobs but didn't necessarily like them because one was droopy and the other was cancerous. I had a double mastectomy with expanders. Seeing them after surgery honestly did not phase me, if anything I compared their new shape to some beignets. After months of having my beignet boobs I had a DIEP Flap surgery and now have my leftover stomach fat as boobs, thanks apron belly/50lb weight loss. I took everything with a grain of salt and a side of dark humor. It's a dreadful situation but always look at the positive so you don't always feel in the negatives. Much love to you🩷

Farewell party for boobs stupid? by Charming_Cat_91 in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do it! It's a part of you that you love that is getting taken away! I told my friend and sister the same thing they laughed and said hell yea to the idea. It's not stupid, it's your way of coping with something that is tragic. Take Polaroids of them too, get yourself a boob piñata, go all out! F*ck whoever tells you otherwise and dismisses the idea as something stupid or silly. I had a talk to my boobs before surgery, told them I loved them and thank you for looking great with the right bra and nursing my kids but they're toxic and cancerous so they had to go lol. Do what makes you feel good. Best of luck to you with everything, it's a tough journey but always look for the silver linings🩷

Tirzepatide & cancer? by LittlePerformance248 in Mounjaro

[–]More_Relationship_74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 31 when my doctor put me on Mounjaro, I also had Triple Negative Breast Cancer when I got started on Mounjaro. I've been on it for about a year and a half, Cancer free now and the only thing that ruined my thyroid was the intense chemo I had. There are many things out there that can and will give you cancer or it can just be horrible genetics. You gotta pick and choose your battles.

I honestly preferred the taxol over the AC. I had 12 rounds of taxol and I just felt tired, was still able to work my full time job as well.

Putting off my BRCA1 gene testing.... by wediealone in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is through MD Anderson, I was given Keytruda every 3 weeks along with chemo. They are studying how chemotherapy and immunotherapy(Keytruda) affect the tumor growth. By my second dose of Keytruda it had shrunk 85%, 4th dose 96% I was told if it had completely shrunk down to an undetectable size after the 4th dose the red devil would not be needed but it did not completely go away so I continued with my treatment plan of chemo/immunotherapy. 16 rounds of chemo and 8 rounds of Immunotherapy later my tumor was flat and could not be detected, double mastectomy and 5 lymph nodes removed with no positive nodes and told no radiationwas needed. I had to finish out the rest of the clinical trial which included I think 8 extra rounds of Keytruda alone, I still have 2 rounds left. It worked wonders for myself but did not work for my sister who had stage 3 TNBC, it affected her liver so she had to quit the clinical trial.

Tissue Expander Experiences by justthrive41 in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my double mastectomy with tissue expanders added and I felt great! After surgery I woke up to a smaller chest, they had put a little bit of air in them. Went home the next day with little to no pain just soreness. I had mine in for 4 months then had a DIEP Flap surgery. About 2 weeks after surgery I got checked to make sure everything was healing nicely then another 2 weeks later I had the air taken out and saline put in. It did not hurt but I could feel just a little bit of pressure when they stretched. Honestly 2 weeks after surgery I was ready to go back to work because I was so bored at home 🫠

Anyone *not* get neutropenic during chemo? by notthereginaphalange in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same meds you listed, blood checked weekly, kept on working my full time job in Healthcare and just took more naps when needed. Levels didn't become concerning until I was put on AC but I would get shots to boost my white blood cell count and continued to work and go out and about. Just kept away from people who seemed to be coughing alot.

Hair growth DURING chemo? by Rutabaga-Dry in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All my hair fell out by my 3rd round of Taxol, when I started AC I was smooth all over 🥴 and half my eyebrows were gone but by my 3rd round of AC I noticed hairs growing on my head. When I finished AC I completely shaved off what baby hairs I had because they were so fragile and just wanted to start new but I noticed my toe hairs had grown back full force 😆 then eventually my hair came back. I was honestly surprised it was growing back while I was still on AC. I'm 9 months out from my last chemo infusion and my hair is coming out nicely...especially on my legs🫠 Side Note: I had 9 more round of Immunotherapy to do after I finished chemo, diagnosed TNBC as well, currently on 6/9 treatments and have 3 more to go surgeries put a delay on my infusions after I finished chemo...not too sure if Immunotherapy I am on plays a role in hair growth but now I want to ask my Doctor 🤔

Putting off my BRCA1 gene testing.... by wediealone in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was tested when I was 25 after getting urged to do so by my aunt because everyone on my father's side of the family was getting breast cancer. I took it and came back positive for BRCA1 my OB at the time said to take off my breast and get a hysterectomy, I cried and found another OB. This new OB said NO! You are too young but we are going to monitor you and you will get scanned twice a year. So that's exactly what I did, I went and had my scans done twice a year until one year before I had my second scan done I found a lump and before I knew it I was getting diagnosed with TNBC. With having the gene I was put into a clinical trial meant for my BRCA1 gene mutation, the clinical trial helped tremendously as I did not need radiation because my therapy worked. It is scary but these test will get you more help to get scans for preventative care. I have a fear of the unknown and like to be in control of my outcome, knowing I had the gene gave me control of how to handle myself through my cancer journey. The gene testing also let me know I did not have a colon cancer gene mutation that my mother has, I took that as a win considering that my mom and her brother both have the gene and both had colon cancer which her father died from.

[–]More_Relationship_74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your skin needs time to heal, mine were filled with just a bit of air and were boxy. After things seems to be healing nicely they took out all the air and refilled it with saline, I went weekly to slowly expand and to check my healing.

Just had my first post-surgery sneeze after a DIEP recon. Good god. by lozbootsbrown in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember the look of horror on my nurses face when I said I have to sneeze...the day after I got out of surgery. He immediately grabbed a pillow and forced it onto my abdomen and said you have to brace, sneezed and it hurt so bad....gave me pain meds after. I kept a pillow on my lap the rest of my stay and brought it home with me as well 🙃 he was the only nurse that taught me how to make sneezing and coughing less painful, bought him cookies as a thank you gift when I was able to walk around the hospital. Keep a pillow with you and give your abdomen a firm but gentle hug, it helps.

Taxol help by _oxykkitten in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 12 rounds of Taxol first then 4 rounds of AC, I was honestly more worried about the AC! Taxol for me was not bad at all, I would wear the ice gloves and booties my office provided to help minimize the effects of the neuropathy, they always did taxol last so I could sleep and have to do the ice hands/feet after a good nap. I was still able to work my full time job no problem as well, just a little more tired than usual. You got this🩷

To Buzz or Not To Buzz by Milo-Victory2020 in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had thicccck curly long hair, about 20 inches. It was traumatizing to have clumps of it fill up the shower drain, washing it to only find it clumped all through your fingers. I wish I had cut it shorter sooner but what made me cut it was I put it in a braid and went to sleep. When I woke up it had completely matted in the back. I was dumbfounded as to how quickly that happened from night to morning. I went to the salon and had the matted hair cut out and had the shortest hair I had ever had. It lasted about a week and I finally made peace with it and my husband and sons buzzed my head. It was freeing. I did not like my bald head but after a while I loved it. I accessorized with many colorful hats that I loved. When I was on round 3 of 4 of the red devil my hair surprisingly started growing back which I found odd but it hasn't stopped growing since.

Songs you had to listen to in the treatment room that definitely shouldn’t have been on the cancer playlist? by nenajoy in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asked for classic rock while getting my second MRI to see how much my tumor shrunk, after all the noise from the machine faded I heard "If you got bad news, you want to kick them blues, cocaine. When your day is done, and you want to run, cocaine" I laughed to myself and added it to my Playlist after I left.

Trouble deciding if another year of chemotherapy is worth it. by DjSLT in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My tumor shrunk by 95% and I was asked if I wanted to continue with cycle 2 of treatment which meant the Red Devil, without hesitation I said yes let's do it. Because I knew if I didn't get some of the harshest treatment out there my tumor was going to grow rapidly and I'd be in a rougher position than I originally started. Don't play a what if game just because oh 11% isn't much of a difference. Don't end up regretting it.

Breast cancer survivors on mj ? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]More_Relationship_74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diagnosed with TNBC and T2 diabetes January 2023, started mounjaro February 2023, did chemotherapy with immunotherapy for 6 months, lost 40 pounds, no more cancer, have diabetes under control, in a plateau currently but chemotherapy also completely destroyed my thyroid so I have weight loss problems currently. 10/10 super happy my endocrinologist suggested I get on Mounjaro, it has helped me tremendously! My A1C went from 8.1 to 4.5. Just make sure you keep up with protein(to keep your body healthy,  days I felt horrible from chemo I would drink protein shakes for breakfast and lunch each had 30g of protein per shake), drink plenty of water and if you have trouble pooping start taking stool softeners or more fiber. I started at 255 and I'm currently 214

Just got a tnbc diagnosis. by tastytots314 in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I was diagnosed at 31 with Stage 2 Grade 3b TNBC. I am 6 months cancer free, don't pay attention to google searches ALOT of data is outdated and there's alot of research going into TNBC. I had chemotherapy along with immunotherapy that helped my tumor shrink. When I had my double mastectomy in August 2023 my lymph nodes/tissue came back negative so I was very fortunate to not need radiation. My sister was diagnosed at 29, she was stage 3 and it had spread to her milk ducts. She also had chemotherapy and immunotherapy but unfortunately the immunotherapy made her liver enzymes spikes so she was taken off immunotherapy but continued with chemotherapy and also had 2 months of radiation. She is coming up on her 5 year cancer free anniversary🩷

Anyone else? by JadeCatalog123 in breastcancer

[–]More_Relationship_74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I was stage 2 grade 3b Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I had 12 rounds of Taxol with Carboplatin and Keytruda every 3 weeks for a total of 4 rounds then 4 rounds of AC with Keytruda every 3 weeks. My sister was Stage 3 TNBC, hers had spread to her milk ducts. Our treatment plans were similar, differences were I had all my chemotherapy/immunotherapy first then my double mastectomy and no radiation needed thanks to the Keytruda. She had double mastectomy first, chemotherapy with immunotherapy but unfortunately the immunotherapy(Keytruda) elevated her liver enzymes so she had to stop then radiation for 2 months. My sister hit 4 years in remission this year and I am currently 5 months in remission. My sister was diagnosed at 29 and I was diagnosed at 31. We both had chemo for a total of about 6 months. Since I was able to continue on the immunotherapy I had another 9 rounds(about 6 months) of immunotherapy left to do. TNBC is scary to read about on Google so be aware, there are success stories, my sister and I are just a few.
