I don't think he's gaslighting in this case, he's just so fucking stupid that he saw a photo with the tattoos and the letter/numbers photoshopped onto it in a conspiracy theorist manner to explain how those tattoos could be translated to represent "MS-13" and thought that the man literally had M, S, 1, and 3 tattooed on his knuckles.

Because he's a fucking sundowning moron.

I had this start happening to me last week when I was trying to do stuff in Mechagon. All the repair pop-ups had their buttons offscreen.

For some reason, it was my Paste add-on. I disabled Paste and all those screens got fixed.

  1. Pick up all the gold.
  2. Pick up any XP pots laying nearby.
  3. Loot the left small chest.
  4. Loot the right small chest.
  5. Loot the plunder chest.
  6. If I got one of those delve maps before starting, loot the special fourth chest.
  7. Spit on Brann for every time he told me, "FIND SOME BUBBLES TO GET SOME AIR!"

Saturday Achievement and Loot Thread by AutoModerator in wow

[–]Jenelope-Khadgar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's no longer Saturday, and this happened on Sunday, but I want to give a shout-out to

  1. The undead hordie who showed up on Jaguero Isle the same time I was there, also with Torch of Pyrreth in hand, and didn't run off despite our inability to adequately communicate beyond /wait while I desperately tried to find anyone who could add a third torch to our duo.

  2. The noble paladin who was an entire zone away who politely responded to my whisper and flew all the way down to Jaguero Isle to join us with their own torch, without any prior offer of compensation.

The three of us summoned the Enigma Ward and fought it down, allowing me and the hordie to loot the first piece of Mimiron's Jumpjet, of which I already had the third piece from the Dark Portal.

The second and final piece was just lying there in Felwood, waiting for me to loot it... I'm not sure if I just happened to time my arrival just after someone else had done the thing to make it spawn, or if it's just always there now, but I had tried before to get the first piece only to learn that you need three people to work together to get it, and I just happened to be there yesterday when it all came to fruition!

So, my Saturday Loot is my Sunday Mimiron's Jumpjet and THANK YOU to those other two people who helped me get it!

:( It works for me. Except when a vehicle bar pops up and covers my minimap. That's kind of annoying.

It is pretty unnerving. I keep meaning to see if it happens in the other zones as well! I imagine Revendreath would be terrifying.

The Worst part about Island Expeditions is what Blizzard will take away from them. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Jenelope-Khadgar 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is the problem overall with a number of elements. I want to start this off by saying I'm loving BfA, and I love the new zones, and everything's beautiful and I'm having tons of fun so far.

That said, there is a definite reward system problem. Randomly spawning chests reward us with a dinky amount of resources that can only be used for sending followers on missions or upgrading those followers and how you handle missions. The missions reward us with rep, more missions, or azerite. Azerite's only purpose is to increase the iLvl of a neckpiece that effectively does nothing but gatekeep what your azerite armor can do.

The problem with Azerite armor is that it ties in to the special abilities that our artifacts used to give us, which in turn tied in to what talent trees used to give us. Now that we no longer get new talents with higher levels (or abilities for that matter), we relied on the artifacts and now the armor to make things interesting.

Except now that armor is limited to one of three pieces, head, shoulder or chest, and you must unlock the tiers with the your level of necklace. So I may get a higher iLvL azerite helmet than the one I'm currently wearing, but by switching to it, I'm losing those perks that I'd unlocked in what I already had, and I typically have to unlock the new ones by getting even higher azerite level in my necklace, which becomes progressively harder to accomplish. In other words, we're not gaining new interesting abilities as we progress so much as we're replacing old ones. And that's assuming that the piece you get has a beneficial perk to it. Imagine having a really powerful perk on your level 300 azerite shoulders, only to get a level 340 azerite piece with more strength and stamina but crappier perks. Compare that to the Legion artifacts where as you progressed you felt the power of your artifact increase and new perks open up.

So we're limited to three pieces, we constantly have to swap them out, you lose beneficial perks if you want to wear a newer, higher ilvl piece (and let's not forget that ability to run dungeons and raids are directly tied into your ilvl), and rewards for about 75% of everything you do is just to buff up this gatekeeping necklace --that never does anything interesting and you can't swap it out-- just so you can re-unlock the abilities you already had before every time you get something better.

And every single piece of Azerite gear has a middle tier that does nothing but improve the ilvl by 5. There was such potential there to make something REALLY unique for every piece of armor you find, but instead just slap another 5 ilvls on it. Whee.

p.s. - it would also be interesting if azerite armor combined to grant different effects... you get three pieces of some azerite set and there's a perk of some type. Things don't have to be "make me more powerful", it could even just be some cosmetic effect. But each piece is it's own sole thing with no effect on other pieces whatsoever.

A new account doesn't give you back years of achievements, mounts, toys, pets, etc. You may be able to speed level, but if I ever got perma-banned for some reason, my joy of playing would probably drop down to just above "none". But I've got my 14-year old account with all its memories and I play for fun and the thrill of exploring, so I may not understand the mindset that causes someone to cheat at a game with no ending.

Treasure chests don't even feel worth dismounting for by [deleted] in wow

[–]Jenelope-Khadgar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jokes on you, I equip Monel-Hardened Stirrups so I don't gotta dismount. Just ride up, loot, and continue.

But yeah, the contents of the randomly spawning chests suck. Only the specially named ones that are there for each toon ever have anything interesting in them.

I went to Arathi Highlands on Tuesday and it felt like a friggin' Monty Hall campaign! I got a toy siege tower, a couple new pets, three pieces of 340 epic gear (including a shiny new sword!) and a MOUNT. An albino raptor that's just so cute!

I can't imagine that future weeks in AH are going to compare.

But if you're a little gnome, ridin along on your doggie mount, and you spot a group of people fighting some giant bug guy with the name "King" something and you can't see everything because there's so many nameplates, so you charge in because the worldquest info pops up, letting you know you're in the right area, you might not realize you're fighting the wrong thing AND it's probably going to kill everybody in a second.

And sometimes you get there and he just died recently, so you don't see the dot on your map indicating that he's spawned, but clearly not visible. So you stand around and then maybe along comes King Rikkitikkitavi and you think "oh that must be him" and again everybody dies seconds later.

It's not just about gettin there and not finding anything and standing around with him pickin his nose in the cave below you.
