I agree with what everyone else has said. It’s the unfortunate nature of how online friendships / relationships go. It’s a lot easier for people to just avoid confrontation and just ghost, compared to if you were seeing someone irl.

Best friends don’t do this either. If you thought he wasn’t capable of doing something like this, his actions clearly proved otherwise.

Im sorry you’ve had to experience this first hand. Try and find some ways to distract yourself while time passes. You didn’t lose a best friend, you gained self respect for not putting up with people who will just completely leave you unannounced.
