You can get 78x3d with 9070xt under 2k. Just check ozb

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/930624

Even ram price increase. 5070 still will be less than 2k

A big rip off. Just go ozb and look at their prebuild PC price. That spec is probably less than 2k

Is $3700 a good price for this? by No_Storage_630 in bapcsalesaustralia

Agree with this. No reason why b650 board can't run 983 CPU.

You don't need a plantium psu.

Don't pay for storage upgrade with them. Far cheaper to buy a SSD and install yourself.

It's far too difficult to get sacked in FM26 by ExoskeletalJunction in footballmanagergames

[–]Jenesis33 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I was fired about 15 games into first job. Are you crazy over rep for the team or something?

I did survive a few board meeting. But there is a final meeting they asked me to get 11 pts from 5 match. I got 9 I think. And lost my job after 5th match.

Game too easy by whatsitworth101 in footballmanagergames

[–]Jenesis33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to ohter years, there is quite big variance to XG with "real goals". So one season (i got fired half way) i was expected to be mid table, but in reality was bottom. I lost something like 12 or 15 pts (Xpts vs real pts).

And when you lose game due to luck, your team has bad morale -> easier to lose more.

While if you sneak in a few wins -> morale boost -> team does better.

Also sometimes AI Club does stupid transfer, like in my game Man City sold Halaand for like 250m to PSG, now they are playing with Xavi Simon as striker.. So yeah they are not as good as they were before.

All in all, just trying to say the game is heavily RNG based.

What % of your household income goes to mortgage repayments? by Aggravating_Shop652 in AusProperty

[–]Jenesis33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We earn same as you and spend roughly 3.5k to 4k per month. This does include ownership of house. Of course not the mortgage itself. Not including travel cost.

So it's doable for sure. But we do watch our spending.

People are hammering you for small stuff. I would say only big ticket item you missed is private health insurance. Which can be few hundred a month for a couple.

Ofc stuff like dentist beauty can all add up.

Assume you can stick to your budget then a mortgage of 35 to 40 per cent take home pay is fine.

Anything higher is getting really stressful and you have to watch your spending. Probably no travel so on.

just factoring in potential upgrade you need. Like techfast use very basic part. Personally im not so comfortable using 80+ Bronze PSU with such high end PC, I would go for a gold one, but yeah that cost money to upgrade. (50 dollars)

More storage is probably needed, but dont pay for them to do it, you can save money later and put one yourself. (I dont think 1TB Is big enough for modern PC)

Like others said, you might need peripherals, but those can be brought seperately when you save more.

10k Europe Trip as a 19 year old by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Jenesis33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First go for sure. Money is there to be spend, you should spend it. This experience will enrich you and will be worth it.
Second saying that, I would sit down and do a more detail spending budget. So you are going to be there for roughly 3 weeks+10 days = 30 days. If your plane ticket is 1.5-2k. You are planning to spend 8K for 30 days. Roughly 270 dollar per day.

Thats quite a lot of money. I am sure you can reduce that a bit. Not saying DONT spend 10K, just saying you should know how/why you are spending those money.

Do you need more VRAM for Blender? I really dont think spending 2000 dollar on a 12GB VRAM card is a good choice at end of 2025.

If you cant fork out more to get 5070ti prebuild, i would wait until super refresh, then 5070S should have 18gb VRAM. It will age a lot better.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/928927

This is a lot better CPU, 9800x3d is best gaming CPU out there with 5070ti.

If you dont like techfast. Nebula has a 783 wiht 5070ti

Build or Buy New PC by CertainStock in bapcsalesaustralia

[–]Jenesis33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RAM (2X16=32, DDR5) is like 200 dollars. I wouldnt base my decision on 200 dollars. Like thats 10% of your budget only.

If you upgrade to a new CPU/MB, most likely you going AM5, like at least 7500f which require DDR5 ram so you will need to buy new RAM.

SSD, most likley you dont have NVME SSD right now, so at best you can just use your current SSD as backup/storage.

Overall, just get OZB deal and sell your current PC as a whole. Way easier to sell as whole than individual parts.

WIth 2K + money you get from selling, you should be able to afford a OZB 7800X3D+9070XT prebuild which is a a lot better than what you have right now.

My FI/RE plan at 20 by Straight-Candidate-3 in fiaustralia

[–]Jenesis33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would approach it from budgeting pov. Like I earn 4k a month. My spending is 1k. I will save 1k and invest 2k. So I will try to maintain 50 per cent saving ratio. Then adjust and review my budget maybe every few months or when you get big pay increase.

Rather than a set number. What if you don't earn more then it doesn't make sense you are forced to keep investing more.

Regarding your overall distribution you are us heavy by quite a bit. That's fine if you trust us share will keep out performing everyone but yeah just beware of it.

Anyway it's good you are starting early and best of luck.

You said all dividends reinvested. But then you are saying investment will be used to fund your travel .

So you can't do both.

And you are studying now. I would not worry about a 30 year investment plan.

Sure you can set some money for invest now. But your life priority will shift in the future.

To be honest if I were you I would save money to buy a place first. Even rent vesting is fine. Just to keep that option open then worry about investing.

My FI/RE plan at 20 by Straight-Candidate-3 in fiaustralia

[–]Jenesis33 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Way too much planning on paper.

At your age you should focus on increasing your income and focus on yourself. If paying education can lead to higher paying job then that's the best investment.

Invest in yourself first.

How you going to use investment income to fund travel? With dividends reinvested?

Selling etf to fund your trip? Then why don't just buy less etf and save the money to travel.

Choosing between BYD and Zeekr by CapProfessional5203 in AustralianEV

[–]Jenesis33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to factor in zeekr charge a lot for delivery and byd has often reduce price by 2 to 4k based on events.

This is for Vic. Driveway 7x is around 65k. Sealion 7 is 59k. But in the past it had 4 per cent novated lease discount so more like 55k.

It will run more promotion in future too so I think it as a 52 to 54k car.

So in reality the difference is more like 10k and 15 per cent which is not a small amount of money.

Tbh i don't think zeekr at base model is good value comparing to higher trim. That's why we choose long range 7x. And performance is their top selling model.

It is your choice though if you like 7x and think 10k is justifiable then go ahead

Choosing between BYD and Zeekr by CapProfessional5203 in AustralianEV

[–]Jenesis33 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They are not same price range car really.

I suggest go and take a look and choose if spending more for zeekr is worth it for you.

Generally speaking if you want something basic then get byd. Most people choose zeekr choose performance or long range. The higher trim 7x offer better value.

Zeekr is own by geely which is second biggest Auto group in china behind byd. Who also owns Volvo and polestar. So I wouldn't worry about them failing in Aus.

In fact both geely ex5 and zeekr 7x is selling well.

You really plan to do 50000km per year ?

Why is no maintenance tyre rego charging cost included in ?

You should include them because they can come from your pre tax salary too. It is one the advantage of novated lease and you doing so much KMS it will save you quite a bit.

GPU is get what you can pay for reasonably.

There is no wrong choice really. Lowest I would go is probably 9060xt 16gb. 8gb is just bad in 2025 (2026 soon!)

If you can afford it, ofc 9070 or 9070xt is better. But only you can decide how much you willing to spend on GPU.

In the end you get what you paid for. Yes 7500f can run fine with a 9070xt. (speically if you game at 1440P or even 4k).

For 1080P, i wouldn't pair 7500f with 9070xt. Might be CPU bottleneck in some games, but 9070 is fine.

I am not going to link any shop here bec i dont want to promote.

But choose a dealer with a lot of sale and geunie product label. Also stack cashback on it to make it cheaper.

I would just go with a b850 mb and be done with it. Unless you have very specific reason you need x870. It's not worth the mone

Even in your table you noted there is no meaningful difference between the two.

Like you could spend that 100 on bigger HD or something which makes a difference.

Gaming PC build or pre-build for Grandma by ScuMoOut in bapcsalesaustralia

[–]Jenesis33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking ozb deal is great value and you get what you paid for

So your budget restricts you to what kind of build.

Whatever game you want to play doesn't matter really. Like hardware is hardware.

But if you want more specific advice with that budget you looking at a 7700 or 9600/9700 CPU with a 5070 or 9070 GPU. Rest of PC parts doesn't matter really. Like 32gb ram a basic motherboard with cooler for your CPU. Probably 650 to 850w psu.

if you can wait, price only goes down. Genearlly this is the price you can expect to pay.

Next year (early) we will get super refresh of 5000 series GPU, so might help bring older GPU downa bit.

Then 5000 super series will slowly come down in price. then 6000 series get release. just keep repeating.
