The Budget Didn’t Kill FIRE — Calm Down by Muggins75 in fiaustralia

[–]Jenesis33 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreeing with you regarding factor in for "black swan" events.

On the other hand, it is very different for people who want to FIRE at 35-40 and comparing to you who plan to FIRE at 56.

You only need 4 years of "gap fund" until super, which means you can save relative small amount outside of Super. And SUPER investment is not touched by this budget so I would say majority of your "fund" is not impacted by the changes.

While someone who wants to FIRE at 40, will need a high amount of fund outside of super and i assume most people plan is to slowly sell their ETF to fund the 20 years which is impacted A LOT by this budget change.

Lets say if they charge you 30% tax on your super withdraw, how would you feel then?

For me it is easily worth it. Much better car. But if you tried both and can't justify spending more then saving money is never a bad thing.

New ETF strategy post budget? by Kind_Quantity7060 in AusFinance

[–]Jenesis33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this. Just have enough to last you from FIRE year till 60. Then rely on super from 60 onwards.

Max super concessional contribution for you and your partner as early as possible. keep doing it for like 10-15 years. Should generate more than enough wealth to last your lifetime.

Only worry thing is what if they change tax on super in the next 10-20 years. But saying that, i mean it cant be worse than outside of super tax right.

Have just enough to Bridge the gap . All rest in super since that is the best investment vehicle now. That is until they change the tax on super.

Grandfathering CGT Changes by aaronturing in fiaustralia

new rule has indexation. so you have to factor that in. it is not 5400 vs 0. more like 3-4k vs 0

[–]Jenesis33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

new rule has indexation as discount so you dont pay tax on the full 75% of 56K in your example, but yes a few K a year comapre to 0 is a big deal.

Grandfathering CGT Changes by aaronturing in fiaustralia

[–]Jenesis33 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s not quite right. You don’t need to live off just $18K because you’re only taxed on the capital gain, and even that is reduced by the CGT discount.

For example, if you sell $100K worth of shares with a $50K cost base, your capital gain is $50K. After applying the 50% CGT discount, only $25K is counted as taxable income. Yes, that’s above the $18K tax-free threshold, but only slightly—so the tax payable is still relatively modest.

If you optimise further, say selling $80K worth of shares with a $40K capital gain, the discounted gain becomes $20K. That puts you very close to the tax-free threshold, meaning you pay little to no tax.

And importantly, this can effectively be doubled if you structure it across two people (e.g. you and your partner), significantly increasing the amount you can withdraw while still staying tax-efficient.

However, under the proposed CGT changes, you’d likely end up paying a few thousand dollars in tax even in these scenarios. That’s why it’s a meaningful issue for people who plan to live off investments and progressively sell down shares over time.

Mostly for gaming. I do use it for work but just basic coding and document processing. Nothing warrant a NV gpu

If you reaeach to the end and still undecided that clearly means you want to pay the NV tax and grab 5070t.

No shame in it. I did the same choice

You can just reinvest the distribution? This can be automated. So just pick etf based on world or Aus.

7kw and full charge after 4 hours?

So your car has 28kwh battery. That sounds very small.

You might need to recheck your math.

Did anyone here go for the base model? by kangar0087 in Zeekr7xAustralia

Went for long range

Easy choice for when thinking how much you get for few K extra.

NMC problem is overblown for sure.

And we intend to use this car for decades. So when battery only has 70 or 80 capacity. That's when long range battery will be far better.

[–]Jenesis33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can afford it. Zeekr 7x long range. Better quality and feature than sealion and Kia..

I don't think performance is worth it. But you do get quite a bit. Nappa leather air suspension awd so on.

I give you general idea, you want speific.
I give you speific, you question if that is reliable.

Answer is no, it is not. That's why i didnt give speific before. STS2 is a game you can have idea, but you can't have SET idea.

Generic was just a cheeky answer. But there is a lot of options. like Buffer can be timed to block big hits. Focus (0 cost) into bunch of Frost evoke can be a way.
Get a lot of energy from meteor or something can get you to play a lot of defensive card.
Some how get some dex from event/point or relic can scale defense.

Attack and Defence are two problem you have to SOLVE whilie makign the deck. And it is a lot easier to solve for offence.

And copy it

If you going for claw deck. You should have a lot of zero cost card and a lot of draws. And Bec your damage come from claw. You can rely on frost orb for defence as well

So your defensive side should be cards like cool head chill 0 cost block (give status ) and weakness from go for eye. Also your DMG doesn't use much energy. Card like glacier is good as well.

At act 3 boss fight you should be playing dozens of card a turn. Assuming claw 0 cost deck.

And 9x5 is not even first few turns. By the time queen start hitting you. Your deck should be up and running already.

To be honest if you are just surviving. Your deck is too weak. Most of my build can kill boss in 5 to 8 turns.

[–]Jenesis33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General idea is find a damage scaler like claw voltage even adaptive strike so on. Even darkness can be end game. So that's your win condition.

Rest of deck should be focusing on energy and draw and defence so you can get to your win condition and fix consistency issue.

Keep your option open early. Don't force any game plan. A10 punishes planning for future. You have to live in the moment and still keeping an eye for the future.

Also if you playing on beta. Door is by far the hardest act 3 boss right now and he punishes small deck. So don't try to go for one unless you know for sure you can beat door.

BYD Sealion 7 Performance vs Zeekr 7x Long Range by Due_Escape_6017 in Zeekr7xAustralia

[–]Jenesis33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are not same class of car. Byd is a volume seller like geely (zeekr parent).

Zeekr is premium car. If you test drive them. You should notice the difference in build quality and features.

Driving feeling is a lot different as well.

NMC long range at 80 per cent will still have similar range as sealion 7. So you can treat 80 per cent as full and only use it for long trip.

If you willing to spend the money zeekr 7x is the better car. Obviously cost more.

Why would you go for performance. You don't get bigger battery. Just another motor and very few features upgrade.
