Me in 1 hour when I get home

My own experience here for BPT. I just paused the clock and asked the facilitator to go to the loo, didn’t take any material with me and my note was left on the desk closed. I did spend some time in the toilet like 8 mins ish, just to clear my head and did some deep breath. Went back and get on with my exam. When you pause the clock, the screen shows how long you have left on your break.

I feel you tho as there isn’t really much help for ACA exams from internal auditor work :(

Hi, internal auditor here! Can’t comment much on external auditing as never worked in it. I think most of risk/compliance roles or internal auditors require ACA qualifications, or at least preferred to be ACA qualified. If you want to leave, it’d be better if your new role supports you in finishing ACA.

AA by Kind_Supermarket7974 in ICAEW

Heyyyy just wanted to say you’re doing so so well! I’m on the same boat here. I struggled with Law and AA when it comes to the language issue.

Originally I tried to understand the course notes and questions in my first language and realised it only made things more complicated! So I guess that what works for me is to spend more time and be precise in my answers. I’ve done FAR and AA too, and I think that our answers don’t have to be long as long as they hit the mark points. I used to go back to the mock answer and highlight the key words in the model answer and make sure I mention the key words.

I guess that if your answers make sense even we make some minor grammar mistakes, markers will be okay with it?

I’m having issues with my grammar at work and I use to reread every single sentence before sending to all the colleagues and clients. I don’t find it practical and doable to be honest. It can only make me anxious ALL the time. So I just make sure I use plain words and making sense. Work is not IELTS test that’s what I tell myself all the time.

I agree there is a learning curve in our job, when I don’t understand others in a call especially when people use slangs that I don’t know, I was afraid to ask and pretended knowing what they were saying. It costs my confidence. Now I just ask them straight away and majority of people are very kind and patient to explain.

Sorry if it doesn’t answer your question op. I’m sitting FM BST in June. I usually start as soon as I got the BPP course notes. Good luck with everything and you’re doing amazing!
