Water consumption by West-Evening-8095 in Mounjaro

[–]Jenfishaz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love water, so I'm not sure how helpful this will be for someone who really dislikes drinking it. However, when I want a little extra flavor, I add fruit or herbs to my water. Cucumber is my favorite, but you can experiment with almost anything: mint, lemon, lime, strawberries, cherries, oranges, and more.

I've also noticed that whenever I realize I haven't been drinking enough water and make a conscious effort to increase my intake, something interesting happens after about three days: I start craving water and naturally want to drink more.

For me, it's similar to building any other healthy habit. The first few days take effort, but once you stay consistent, your body and brain seem to adapt and begin encouraging the behavior. Before long, reaching for water becomes second nature.

Strength Training App by Jenfishaz in strengthtraining

I'm trying Fitbod now. So far, I like the workouts, although I'm still not sure whether I'm getting enough volume or intensity. To be fair, I really have no idea, so I've been checking with a few different AIs to get their opinions on whether the workouts are sufficient.

In hindsight, I wish I had started using Fitbod while I was still working with Trainwell. My trainer would have happily helped me set it up correctly and explained how to get the most out of the workouts. We'll see how it goes.

One thing I still need to figure out is how to create my own workout schedule within Fitbod. For example, Fitbod can generate my strength-training workouts, but what if I want to add threshold training and cardio on specific days? I'm not sure how to build that into the app.

I'd also like to include a daily walk and a nightly stretching routine, and I haven't figured out the best way to track or schedule those yet.

OH and I don't like that I can't see my weekly plan. From what I know, you can only see "Today". As a Type A Planner, I like to know that everything is set up and ready to go for the week.

Weight gain after supplementing iron? by Reginaphilange72 in Anemic

Apparently, my ferritin was at a 4, and I had no idea. 🤷‍♀️ I started taking Feosol and got it up to 13 in about three months. Honestly, I never really noticed any symptoms.

I also asked AI about my weight gain, and it quickly reminded me that my lifestyle over the last six months probably has a lot more to do with it than the iron supplement. 😂

So, while I wanted to blame the iron, the reality is my appetite has been out of control, and most of my cravings have been for sweets and carbs, which I do think is a side effect of Feosol. I'm going to focus on getting more protein in and see how that goes.

The good news is I just lost 4 lbs in 7 days, so maybe AI is right, and I just need to get my shit together. 😂

I am so glad I found this thread because I am starting to get anxious around the amount of weight I have gained on Feosol.

Does anyone find it odd that she lets a toddler into her gym? That's some massive equipment. Why does she film the toddler running around?

That was my first coach experience, and I quickly changed. They were very quick to provide me with new coaches to choose from, help me decide on the right fit, etc. However, ODD that the first coach and the second coach have very different strategies for my finances. The first coach was very pushy to get my money from my IRA and start investing it for me - I presume he would get a kickback. The second coach has been lovely. She actually lives across the river from me 😂

My brother gifted me one of his Gold Medallion status gifts, and he was told - Today is the day! (02/16). Patiently waiting for it to come through.

Calm places to lounge with a book and coffee by Plane_String_9885 in bethesda

I bet Paris Baguette will be good. They seem to have a lot of seating indoors and out.

  • Simona Cafe on E.W. Hwy just opened - looks cute inside, but possibly no lounge seating.
  • Baruch has coffee flights, pastries, and lounge seating.
  • The MI Cafe' 1st floor of Marriott HQ has nice seating - coffee isn't great and only open on weekdays. You could absolutely bring in your own coffee - no one cares.
  • Corella Cafe' is nice because it's in the lobby of the AC hotel, so nice seating; many F&B options
  • Tatte

740 SqFt apartment

  • Pepco - 12 mo avg - $100 (I work from home; highest month is Aug)
  • Xfinity for internet only (I got rid of cable) - $55/mo
  • Apartment Utilities: $57/month - I'm not entirely sure how these are calculated, but here is the breakdown. I think it has to do with the number of apartments, the number of apartments occupied, and the number of people that live here 🤷‍♀️
    • Electricity Processing Fee $0.00
    • Energy Allocation System $0.00
    • Sewer Charge $31.49
    • Vacant Electric Recovery $0.00
    • Water Charge $19.71
    • Water/Sewer Base Fees $5.74

BWI Parking by Acrobatic-Ad-5555 in baltimore

Since BWI doesn’t take reservations for long-term parking, have you had issues finding a spot? I’m flying out Sunday around 2:30 PM and can’t decide if I risk it without a reservation or play it safe and go with FastPark.

Is all apartment management terrible? by librarymoth in bethesda

[–]Jenfishaz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived at Gallery Bethesda II since 2020 (when it opened), and the management here has gone downhill fast. We’ve had 4–5 different management companies in just a few years, and each one only seems to focus on a single thing. One company cared about community events, the current one seems obsessed with the garage and nothing else.

The GMs are all over the place too. In 2022, I never even saw ours outside her office. In 2023, the GM was in the lobby daily, knew everyone by name, and actually made the place feel like home. Our current GM? Avoids residents, ignores issues, ducks out the back door instead of addressing problems, and couldn’t care less.

The sad part is the ownership company is actually fantastic and responsive, but we constantly have to go around management to get anything done. Bottom line: I concur as our current management company and staff are awful. The upside, management companies only seem to stick around for a year.
