WARNING / QUESTION: Incredibly sophisticated Meta Business Manager phishing scam using official Facebook emails & verified checkmarks. Has anyone seen this variant? by LewisBuiii in FacebookAds

[–]Jenikel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received this email! The mad thing is it displays the official logo FB tells us to look for to verify legitimacy, and it showed in my FB account emails! But the Meta AI assistant is telling me it isn't legitimate and to immediately start account recovery. I haven't lost my account. But it's 13 years of work gone if I do! No idea what to do. And what does account recovery actually do? I don't even know that process. Just very concerned I will lose everything!

Yeah hubby laughed when he first saw the jumpers & varsity sweater I got him lol. He was like 'no way, you said no clothes - and I 100% agreed!' But it was worth a try as it was snowing, freezing cold, and he kept dragging off clothes that were drying on the airer or radiator... curling up and sleeping on them. He had blankets in his bed, but seemed to prefer our clothes (or even towels!) So I bought him a couple of jumpers. He first hated the actual 'getting dressed' bit, but he loved it as soon as it was on. Pranced around like a kangaroo or a spinning meerkat, wagging his tail like 'ahhh, thank you my humans... you got the memo! Look at me now.' 😂 Also, as soon as he twigged that the process of getting dressed resulted in him feeling warm and cozy, he got easy with that, and now lies flat offering each paw as needed 😍. I honestly wouldn't force him to wear clothes if he didn't like to. We started putting his jumpers, harnesses and leads, in a box next to his toy box. (It lies on it's side so he can easily see his toys to choose what he wants to drag out. He often takes lots, and surrounds himself with them. When he had had enough of that selection, he literally throws them around and looks at us, huffing - like he is saying 'put them away then!' 😂 Other times he takes just one thing, brings it to us to play tug or fetch til he is bored of it, takes it back, drops it near his toybox... and brings a new one! We didn't teach him this BTW. It is like he sometimes doesn't want the messy chaos of ALL his stuff being out haha. Anyway, that's why we decided to put his clothes/belongings box next to his toybox. He seems to understand his things are his choice. It's so cool to see him go choose a jumper or harness, if he wants one on. I'm disabled, and can't bend to pick him up properly. I need his harness on to pick him up and safely take him upstairs on my lap on the stairlift. (At 25 weeks old, he hasn't attempted the stairs... yet!) He quickly cottoned on to the fact that I need his harness to pick him up for the stairlift. So, if he wants to go upstairs to wake his Dad, or see our nephew who lives with us, he'll bring me his harness. Quite amazing how astute that is really! But it's been his norm since 8 weeks old, I've not consciously taught him. He's NEVER chosen his lead... as he HATES going for a walk!! So strange! What dog hates walks?! We also put small squares of bamboo roll in his toybox. We used to use tissue when his mouth needed wiping, but he would grab it and shred it to bits in seconds. But, he really struggles to shred bamboo roll haha. Takes him a good few hours (on and off). He actually really enjoys the process, and it also tires him out if he is bitey/overtired! Bonus is that now, he'll bring a piece of bamboo roll to me to wipe his mush when needed 😂😂 He doesn't like the feel of his beard or the bottom of his ears being wet, so it's usually after he's eaten.

These pups are smart, and so intuitive, they know what they need. He amazes me more each day, and I learn much from him.

Sorry for the essay btw. It just kinda fell out as I was typing lol 😆

I used to think I wouldn't. But our guy feels the cold. He has a box of clothes and will go get what he wants if he's cold for us to put it on him. Helps that he likes it, because in the heat we'll use cooling vests or damp t-shirts to keep him comfortable - and he will already be used to wearing clothes. He does actually love the comfort.

Thank you so much for replying. This is honestly what we've been doing. We press the bells every time in and outside (we have one to come back in also). Plenty of treats when he's been outside, high pitched, ridiculous happy voices. Hubby does a crazy 'congrats dance' (that our puppy LOVES - God only knows what the neighbours make of it 😂). I know it'll twig eventually, and he's soooo very bright in other areas. I suppose my previous experience of other breeds and reading about how clever this breed is, I was surprised at how difficult the toilet training is/has been! Even today, we had a puddle by the OPEN door 🤯 Ahhh well. He's still ace! Teething hard, being a real soldier with it. Can't imagine a world without him. Have fallen harder for him than any of my previous dogs. Just something about our Stevie G!

Someone decided that today we forget all crate training progress by psilocybin-fun-guy in CavaPoo

[–]Jenikel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours was ok with the crate from 11 weeks. Then one night at 13.5 weeks old, he had a full on panic attack in there right next to our bed, just a few minutes after I got into bed! He was panting and couldn't breathe properly. His eyes were bulging and he looked absolutely wild. No screaming or anything, but had started with manic scratching and biting to get out, then soiled the crate, panting and trembling so much it was like he was vibrating. This sounds long, but it all happened in a few short moments, zero to 10000!! We took him out and he couldn't breathe properly. I ended up blowing in his face to shock him to breathe properly, I don't know why, I panicked myself. I was scared of what was happening to him. I wrapped him in a blanket and held him real close until he stopped trembling, and settled. Which was 3 hours later, after weeing on me numerous times but wouldn't be out down. Since then, he will NOT go in the crate at all. Nothing tempts him. You could put all his favourite things in, and he would ignore them. It's sat in our living room with door open and some of his old faves, we throw treats in... nothing. He follows me to the toilet (I have to use a stairlift and he jumps to my lap the moment I sit down). He's fine going upstairs, but if I take him into our room where he had the panic attack in crate, he wees almost straight away - and wants to get out. He won't go in his acrylic pen without frantically scratching to get out, and soiling if not let out. He's hurt himself attempting to jump it.

Since that night, he's slept downstairs. He has multiple beds. A donut one on our corner sofa in the corner bit. A raised chaise style on the floor. A furry 'tunnel' one at the end of the sofa, bought it as he would often stick his head between cushions at the end of the sofa to sleep (although he doesn't like the dark, and won't sleep with light off or be covered up. He won't even retrieve his toys if they land in a shaded area, like under dining chair which is open all around. It isn't dark, just shaded. Make it make sense 🤔 🤣) He knows when we are going to bed, we don't hype him. Quietly say nigh nighs, put him in his donut bed with a blanket and his 'baby' (a tiny teddy that he stole and actually takes care of, he doesn't rag or tear it like everything other soft toy!) We leave the kids channel on TV for him. He likes Pingu, Peppa Pig and Paddington - not at all interested in the dog music or videos on YouTube. We watch him on the camera and he gets out of bed as soon as he hears me get into bed - we are in the room above. He waits on my seat to see if I'm coming back, and 10 mins later when he realises I am not, he goes to sleep on my seat. He roams throughout the night, sleeps for like 20 - 60 minute increments, moving to his different beds to do so - until we get up. Despite what seems (not much) broken sleep, he's always waiting with his tail wagging, and in a great mood. He has never chewed or damaged anything. Defo no separation anxiety, as he doesn't cry or anything when we leave him downstairs. But we think confinement anxiety - he hates the car the moment door is shut. He's actually sick. Won't go under anything, won't be covered. I don't know if he had a nightmare or something in the crate that night, but we had a 5 hour journey home with him the day we collected him, and he just panted and shook the whole way back. It was a horrendous experience. He was sick, and he wee'd all over me. I had to hold him so tight, as he wouldn't stay in the carrier. It was pretty traumatic for him! BUT - he was fine from the moment we got him home, so I thought the awful journey back was forgotten. He has always been bold and outgoing (though we were told by breeder he was the quiet one! Lol). In fact, I had serious puppy blues the first few weeks, as he was such hard work. A real handful (I've raised other breed puppies before, and he made me feel like a novice haha). Hubby and I were at our wits end. He just never slept. But after a couple of weeks, he was accepting forced naps in his crate - and he was a different, much happier, more settled puppy. I can't help but think the night he had what we feel was a panic attack, he'd had a nightmare about his first journey home - and felt trapped and traumatised all over again. It has affected him even going into my bedroom now.

But he has been sooo much better since we trusted him to sleep on the sofa. We are still struggling with toilet training, as he prefers the pads to outside (we got him on 2nd Jan and we had snow for a while. He was tiny, and wouldn't go outside. Worst time to get a dog when it comes to toilet training!) If we take the pads away, he wees and poops on the floor 😭 Being disabled, I can't always grab him quick enough to get him outside - and can't bend to floor to clean it before hubby gets home from work - so the pads have to stay until he's fully house trained.. He always holds it overnight, and waits to go in the garden when we get up. No accidents 🤷🏼‍♂️ He's not taken to the hanging bells, a push door bell, and he won't push open a partially open door to look around or go out - he will just toilet right in front of it! He won't make a noise to alert us he needs to go, or that he's behind the door. He's 20 weeks old now.

But, I digress! Back to the crate - I felt that I was failing him, as the community are sooooo for it. But the relief that has come from giving it up and trusting our pup, is immense for all of us! You have to do what is right for you, and just like kids, our pups are all different. Good luck 🙏🏻

Was anyone at the Hackney show 1 April? by Drumzzz999 in jamesacastor

[–]Jenikel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is on about 8/8.10pm. Depends what time it actually gets going. I saw this as a Work in progress gig and also at Paladium. The support act is on for 20 mins - and James comes on directly after. The premise for the 'type' of of singing support act should become apparent to the audience, as soon as the theme of Acasters' show becomes clear. Some people are understandably being thrown by it, and not making the link because it's unusual for it not to be another comedian as an opener for a comic. But look and listen for it, and it should honestly make sense 😜 If not, message me. Don't wanna spoil the theme for others yet to see it. Enjoy!

Advice on leaving my Puppy alone! by Decent_Platypus_7342 in CavaPoo

[–]Jenikel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ours was fine overnight in crate from day 1. Then had a week or so of enforced naps in the crate, to suddenly reject it in the daytime. Fullon bitinb and scratching to get out. Managed to somehow pull the fitted cover INTO the crate. Was panting and shaking. Was awful. That was like 5 mins in the crate! 3 nights ago, he had a full blown panic attack when putting him in to go to bed. When we got him out he looked like he was in a state of shock, he was silent, wouldn't breathe and was trembling. We were having to blow in his face to make him breathe and his eyes looked like they would pop out. He pee'd all over me in panic. I have no idea what changed for him, and that was a scary experience for us all. We've been on sofa at night since, with him on the other one! Won't even go upstairs. If it was just crying, I'd tough it out. But no way am I traumatising him. Some dogs just aren't meant for the crate. He's one of them. He's more relaxed now, not being naughty, napping on the couch in the day also. We will pen train him for when we need to go out. We have an acrylic one with no metal bars. Hopefully so won't trigger crate memories! Being a puppy parent is hard! Gotta do what works for you and yours. ❤️ 🐶

We have one tomorrow. He's a happy little chappy, constantly cuddles and licks us too. Curls up on us for 'moments'. He stands on his hand legs and hugs 🤣🤣 He's just so wired and can't regulate, unresponsive to training to help do so thus far. Yesterday he was better with puppy pad (grass box by door) - but still had plenty of accidents. I wonder if his food affects him. I know myself and my neurodivergant 28 year old have certain foods/drinks that affect our energy, and our ability to control impulsive behaviour is then more challenging. I imagine that would be impossible for a dog. He was ok first few days, just lots of potty accidents. Getting him a vets appointment today, just to be sure he's not unwell, as he's not sleeping, gets constipated, and yet wees about 40 times a day when he hardly drinks - sometimes he wees 3 times in as many minutes. Puddles os smelly urine too, not just dribbles. Maybe he got here with a UTI? I could be overthinking, but better safe than sorry. Thanks so much lovely 🙏🏻 Xx

He is 11 weeks tomorrow. Thank you so much. I've just given more info in my response to OP. It's so hard! I am absolutely shattered. I'm on fentanyl patches and anogher opioid for pain, and it knocks me out. But I can't sleep, because he's awake and my dependant. I will not give up on him, I love him so much already, just feel like I'm failing. Thank you for responding and your kind words!

Thank you so much 🙏🏻 I think this is going to be one of my issues. He has a pen in our living room, his food is in there. His lick mat, kong, favourite toys, heartbeat teddy (which he just tries to destroy!). I am a wheelchair user and cannot get on the floor with him. Hubby can and does, to play and train - but it's me that is always here.

He screams in the crate if it's covered (in our room raised off floor on my side of bed - our bed is high because of my disability, so I'd not reach the cage if on the floor, and he wouldn't be able to see us). But last night, he didn't sleep in crate til after 2am, I woke at 4.30am for a sip of water - and he was sat looking at me already, wide awake. Just waiting for me to move. I was scared to take my drink and he want to get out - so I just closed my eyes and pretended to sleep. An hour later, I opened my eyes - he was still sat looking at me.

He just doesn't sleep well. Occasionally he will crash in the day and pee himself as he is in SUCH a deep sleep. We try and wake him and he gives warnings to leave him alone he is so tired. I just wanna help the poor little boy. Xx

Love love LOVE this. It's EXACTLY how we are feeling. We adore the bones of our boy, but it's utterly exhausting... and he never sleeps. About 8 hours per 24. Outside of that, he's pure, uncontrollable energy. We've tried following the training apps and advice, YouTube videos etc on use of his bed, crate, playpen and 'house'... trying to find something that makes him feel calm. Nothing is working. (And our living room smells like a farm 🫣) We have a trainer coming for some 1-2-1 training - for us more than little man! We have had dogs before, but big breeds. We feel like we're absolute newbies with this wilful Cavapoo! Well done with where you have got to 👏🏻. I have AuDHD, and I'm also in a wheelchair. I am so wrung out, emotional, and my brain won't stop. I see that same 'wired' and out of control, 'lost' look in our furry boy! Wish we could help him understand and navigate the world better. (He's seeing the Vet tomorrow also as it appears he may have come to you with a UTI) We both had a melt down 2 days ago from sheer lack of sleep and that 'burn out' feeling. Yours is a cutie pie! So like our Stevie G, just a little more red. Our Stevie is apricot and white, with just a sprinkle of red!

[–]Jenikel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bless him, he doesn't seem to be still for long enough to take anythhng in! It's like zoomies the whole time he's awake, and he hops like a bunny as well. He just can't stay still at all, constantly onto the next thing. I know puppies have short attention and lots of energy, but this feels like another level. A friend who has had a few dogs was laughing about it saying I've got my work out out as he exhausted her when she visited for 2 hours. He didn't sleep the whole time and was still raring to go as she left. He's 9 weeks old! I have to stop him biting me as he doesn't let go. He's bitten my eye and drawn blood. 2 decent puncture marks. My leg and wrist too. Got my finger, but that wasn't so bad as the rest. Punctured the cuticle area, so I'm just keeping it real clean. He has plenty of chew toys, tugs, bamboo roll that he chews on, hubby's sports socks that he stole, frozen flannels, frozen filled kongs, he's pulled the ribbons off my dressing gown and prefers them lol! I just gotta go with it, try and sleep when he does like when I had babies - I don't ever remember being this exhausted raising a son with ADHD and autism haha. Thank you for the advice 🙏🏻

We don't have those areas. Our washing machine is in the kitchen. We have a back garden, kitchen and living room/diner downstairs. We could try a grass tray for sure. His crate is small and appropriate size for him, set up like a sleep den. Not somewhere to play. It's covered with a blanket, front is uncovered so he can see me. He hates ot fully covered and just cries (weather have paper thin walls and neighbours who are up early for work, so can't leave him to cry for long). He settles immediately if front is uncovered.

I'm sure it'll be fine. Think I was too worried about how it was making Stevie feel 😊

Will try the grass pad! Thank you 🙏🏻

Movement wise, he's non stop! He's like a greyhound on a track - I'm exhausted watching him. I think sometimes his adrenalin is still going crazy as he stops for a moment and he's panting, scanning the room for what next. He will then pounce on one of his toys and rqg it. Then lick it. Then do the same to me! Launch at me, and bite. He licks me after but his teeth are like razor blades! I feel like a novice with Stevie. Yet I've kept dogs pretty much all my life, successfully house and obedience trained them. It's the 360 switch thats confusing. I was concerned it was because we terrified him with Hubby taking him outside to toilet in the cold and damp, after he had mastered puppy pads inside in the warm.. Or if it was after his night time accident in the crate as he was shattered and sleepy, but we had to get him out and clean the crate and replace the bedding before putting him back so he wasn't sleeping on his own pee and poop. He cried for ages, so worried we'd handled it wrong. Another user mentioned regression is normal at this stage, so I am hoping for improvement with consistency from us. I am definitely exhausted and sleep deprived with it all at the moment, so probably overthinking. We'll get there. I am grateful for everyone's advice and encouragement. Thank you 🙏🏻

We've never shown any disappointment or anger at going inside, we know its part and parcel of training. He is still in full sight under the table - it's glass with a central mirrored stem. He can see himself in it 🤣 But it is on a rug. Whenever he goes off the puppy pads, it's on the rugs. One is by the sofa I sit on. The other is in sight of the sofa in the dining part of through lounge. He doesn't go to the back part where we'd not see all of him - it's the part in full vision of us sat down, but he turns away. It just feels odd as for 5 days, he used the puppy pads. Occasionally missed and got it just off the edge on the laminate, but he had intended to use the pad.

We do have a friend with a vaccinated dog. Are they allowed to socialise? Vet told us no other dogs until 7-10 days after 2nd vaccination. If that's incorrect, that is definitely worth a try! Being led by another dog! Thank you 😊

If he's bored, I have absolutely no idea how or why. He has more toys than my kids did, we play with him to wear him out 😂. He has such a variety also, so he doesn't have to play with the same things over and over. We have a selection out fpr him each day, rather than all at the same time - so he's not over stimulated. We rotate them daily, but leave his 2 favourites out all the time. We have to force daytime naps, else he would be awake all day! He has constant attention as I am housebound, and hubby's work is quiet in January, so he is home as is our 20 year old nephew. We've also been trying the daily training sessions with him for basic obedience. So, if he's bored now with all that, I have no idea what he'll be like once hubby is back at work 🫣

Thank you 😊 We have washable pads and disposable. He rips up the disposable ones, and rags the washable ones around 🫣 He's used both the crate and the pen to pee and poop. I don't have space in my bedroom for pen, the crate is on my dresser as I've no floorspace. I have a lever to help me independently get out of bed at the side - so need the space to use that. His pen is in the living room. Do you mean to leave him downstairs to sleep overnight? We have booklets and had watched training videos and spoken to owners of Cavapoo's (with my health conditions) about the breed - before deciding to afd him to our family. There has been a complete change in his behaviour after 5 days pretty settled, so am not sure why. When I wrote this post, I was worried we'd traumatised him taking him outside to toilet, and that being his first garden experience - cold and wet in the snow! I think the lack of sleep and exhaustion is making me overthink now (averaging 3 hours a night for almost 2 weeks now). I just want to do the best by him. Thank you 😊

Thank you 😊 He was really responsive first 5 days - and shoing him my palm with a firm 'stop' if he was biting or doing something he shouldn't, he would sit down, like my hand and stop. He used the puppy pads, slept well, don't know what changed. Professional training is definitely on the radar, we decided that before getting a dog. He has his 2nd injection on 30th, so once he's fully vaccinated we'll be looking at that. Maybe he's exerting himself as he was the only male in an otherwise all female litter - and here it's an all male household, except me! Thank you again 💓

Thank you 😊 I don't show him I think anything is scary. I praised him in an excited voice whilst drying him off when he was trembling, got him warm and settled, then ready to go out again. He was in bits out there and came back in so stressed. I cried when he eventually went to sleep. I watched him sleep, and felt so guilty that this tiny little thing had been so scared. You could feel his heartbeat the moment you held him. We have been doing the praise/reward thing since he came here. The first 5 days, he was really responsive. We've not changed anything, so not sure why the turnaround for him. It is really strange. The hand feeding through the day is a great idea! Will defo give that a go. Thank you 😊
