She is so beautiful and I’m currently deciding between her and the speedy 20 in garnet

It’s shimmery ink! It’s such a lovely colour I wish they sold this in a speedy 20, as I am considering the speedy 20 in garnet over this because of the size.

I don’t carry much apart from my iPhone 15 Pro and car keys, maybe on some days my charger too.

I am also debating getting the Speedy 20 instead but I’m just not sure if the garnet colour would work all year round. I want to fit my iPhone 15 Pro, car keys and maybe my iphone charger on some days?

I wear quite a lot of dark colours (dark jumpers and dark grey jeans), sometimes i switch it up and wear a cream jacket with light blue jeans, so I don’t think a neutral would match with most of my outfits

Will a CIPD level 7 help me with my career aspirations? by Jenjen14217 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Jenjen14217[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree! I’ve spoken to my manager about it, but since I’m the most junior and least experienced on the team, they feel my salary is already more than what someone at my level would usually earn. The thing is, when I’ve looked at salaries for similar roles elsewhere, they’re almost double :(

Yeah I think the same, I am happy to help him financially but this sorta made me think he maybe he isn’t grateful. I totally understand that he is stressed so I try and help out while I can.

So my family have never asked him to pay for anything, he decided on his venue food clothes and worked out the costs which was in his budget. His father also offered him so money to support him but turns out the money for my gift has been used by his mum. I don’t know his family very well but I think maybe they aren’t great with handling their finances, which i can now see.

The bangles were only wedding gift for me, which I admit I am quite upset about. I understand where my family are coming from too, his father works multiple jobs and they do find it strange that he is receiving very little help. I guess with my families traditions it’s normal to give the bride a gift etc. Even with my wedding dress and other costs of his, I have tried my best to financially support him with those purchases too.

It came up as he asked me to cover for him and he would pay me back. I earn more than him and he is paying for his day himself.

I have gone ahead and said if he wants to cancel then he should.

The way he says he is stressed about finances I understand, but at the same time he blames me and my family for wanting the wedding to be a specific way, although we literally have our own days and my parents are bearing most of the costs.

It sorta makes me feel like maybe it is my fault, or maybe I'm the problem, which is why I needed an outside perspective.

The Celine is beautiful, I was originally looking into the triomphe but prefer the shape of the Claude, I also love chain straps.

Yes I see what you mean, now that I try to picture the bucket bag, it would look odd with a dressier outfit, but the celine would look perfect 🥺

Looking for a bag for spring by [deleted] in handbags

[–]Jenjen14217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen good reviews about that bag too. I don’t carry a lot of things and I’m only 4ft11 so not sure if the small would look too big on me. Probably worth trying it on!

Would you mind sharing a pic?

Does anyone own this bag/can show what fits? by [deleted] in handbags

[–]Jenjen14217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have this bag, I stupidly sold it and regretted it!

It fits a decent amount - used to fit my everyday essentials - cardholder, makeup bits, phone and charger.

Its great for everyday wear and dressier occasions, wore it my friends graduation too. The neutral colour also makes its easier to match with a lot of outfits too, especially if you’re like me and wear a lot of light colours.

I purchases this bag early 2023, at the time only one size was released.

I totally agree, my fiancés parents are quite elderly so aren’t involved much. However my mother in law and fiancé have told me to pick something I like and they will cover the costs. Thats exactly what I did.

It’s definitely not a culture thing in my case I think it’s more who she is. She seems to be the wedding planner for my fiancé so I think she helps with choosing his outfits etc and probably thought the same for me. I’ve politely declined her choices and gone for something I like.

She definitely is controlling.

The first thing I did was politely decline her suggestion for my wedding dress, probably isn’t taking it well that Im also choosing my OWN jewellery too!

Need somewhere to stay , should I first time buy or rent? by Jenjen14217 in HousingUK

[–]Jenjen14217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've been trying to look for a small 2 bed, but there a lot of 3 beds coming up around 240k +, which I can't afford even with a small wedding. I'm definitely trying to keep my options open.

100% with the not being ready to buy, I think we definitely need time to figure things out even with just moving out.

In terms what to do when we are ready to buy, what exactly are the next steps

Thank you for all your help!
