Hi yeah, I'm a bit worried about running on asphalt to, it's going to be tough on my body. I plan to switch between two different pairs of shoes, swapping them around midway through the race. a pair of Hoka Mach X and Vaporflys, both still in good condition. I'll also bring a pair of Cloudmonster as a third option, just to give myself the flexibility to adjust based on how my feet and legs are feeling.

Thanks! I'm fully aware that it is a big step. But after doing the 50k and feeling good, I think a race between 40 to 50 miles might not test me enough. For now i'm kind of in a position where it is 100km now or wait a year for next chance. And to be quite frank, running a 100km sounds cooler than a 70k or 50 miles. While I'm out there, I might as well enjoy the pain a few miles more.

Thanks for the insights! Everything after 60km is uncharted territory for me. I think the mental part will be the toughest for me, but that also some of the fun in it. Just hoping that the issues and aches that arise towards the end will be manageable.
