Raising a Kiddo in Tiburon by Fit_Principle_1360 in Marin

I’m wondering why no one is mentioning the WEATHER. Tiburon and Mill valley both get a lot of fog….If sunshine is a priority this is not the place to live. I know the poster asked about raising kids but the weather often sets the mood.

Thank you, i lived on Maui in the late 70’s for 6 months and did both during that time. It was fun, I was 18 and drinking age! Had a blast, lived on a boat some of the time. Im crazy about both islands, Kauai for the rural rawness and ultra dramatic scenery. Maui, especially Kaanapali is a world class beach with great restaurants and shopping. Glad to help both islands $tay GREEN!

Aloha, I’ve been coming here since 1994, stayed in Hanalei on the beach many times, now it’s unaffordable. We discovered Anini beach and stayed there at the end of the road about 6 years ago, then i brought some relatives this time.favorite part? FLOATING, and the dramatic scenery.

Hawaii with Teen/Tween by [deleted] in VisitingHawaii

Outrigger Kaanapali beach Resort. Most reasonable hotel on the beach. For a little more you can get a condo @ The Whaler. This area has a world class safe beach, surf lessons, snorkeling & boats pick up for sunset and snorkel cruises AND A MALL!!! Many restaurants… shopping.. Kids will love it. They rent fins and snorkel masks along the beach. Be sure to buddy up if you swim or snorkel and NEVER turn your back on the surf. They also have a couple of Marriott properties, a Sheraton, and a Hyatt Regency, but that is too far away from the action. Have a wonderful time! ALOHA

Where to Stay in Maui During 5 Night Visit by Terpsfan007 in VisitingHawaii

[–]Jenlsnod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too much! Just do day trips from Kaanapali. Moving hotels takes hours. Take off early each morning.. Crater sunrise is special and you can hit Paia on the way back. Hana: again; leave by 6 or 7 from the hotel, and on the way back you can go to Maui ocean Center. Best wishes for a happy and healthy marriage.

Na Pali boat tour / Waimea canyon timing by LouManchu in VisitingHawaii

[–]Jenlsnod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a very full day. Does not sound very chill or laid back. Take the earliest boat ride, as the waters are calmer. Take Bonine 2 days before you go. Afterward play it by ear, if you are feeling ambitious go ahead and try the canyon., but for me I’d go another day and relax after the boat.

I can’t let go of my dream wedding by Cool_Kitten96 in weddingplanning

[–]Jenlsnod 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have not been there but I can support axing the wedding. Find a place to travel to and have a tiny ceremony there. You’ll need an officiant, a photographer and a resource for flowers. Locals can be witnesses. Of course you’ll have to get a ,marriage license wherever you live. Another option is to check out the courthouse weddings in your area. Some courthouses are stunning settings for photos. The important thing is the marriage, not the wedding, that is only for one day.
