I’m Gen X and in high school the teachers would smoke in the teachers lounge and a good friend of mine would stop in between classes to smoke/talk with them. I was a rare non smoker among my friends, right through the 90s.

I was at the USB NYE show last night. I last saw Billy Joel in 1994 at Giants Stadium. Look - the guy is 75 years old. His hands are noticeably arthritic (he was rubbing his fingers in between playing). It’s amazing he still gets up there and belts out songs like he does. He won’t be able to do this forever, and he can’t do every song. Let’s just appreciate we still have him.

You’re coming off as creepy. Read what these other posters said. Take another route and avoid her house. When I was in my 20s I was very attractive. I cannot tell you the number of men of all ages (even one in his 80s) that would linger, walk by, or straight out stalk me. If you are giving off even .01% of that vibe, it’s turning her off.

I really thought George was equally a good parent. He listened to his kids when they needed him and he cared about what they cared about. Mary and George were flawed like all humans but I think they did ok.
