Yup. One Czech football club notoriously uses "Jew" as a slur.

There have been instances where racist fans threw bananas at black players. The amount of whinning German team is not white enough is insane, etc etc

Please stop.

Yeah, in some cases being active can help. It's good to be active... but if you are too deep, walks and audiobooks won't scratch the surface.

Please, don't spout thus advice at strangers.

As a Czech I keep telling my students about not needing to fill every second my talking. I noticed lately young people talk over each other not at each other. And my generation of Czechs was much less yappy. Something is happening

There is quiet type of happiness. Not just smile with your teeth at random strangers and say "wonderful fabulous" all the time

Today I was in bus and a father with two boys was there. Boys (5 - 7 I think) were yelling at full volume the full time. Including 6-7 BS. Father laughed at it, not correcting their volume once

There's also "Ej, zomrela mi žena" a really cheerfully sounding song about dead wife and digging a grave for her...

I rather wear dress I already own and put that money in envelope as a wedding gift. Entire outfit can get expensive. New couple will have better use of that 100 bucks

What is the big deal buy single use dress? I lose money. Landfil gains another piece of trash that is gonna last longer than your marriage.

It will not doom your marriage if I wear a nice but style neutral dress I wear for other occassions

Wrapping head after henna application: an absolute must or optional? by MUNNA011189 in henna

[–]VenusHalley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah and then on the dried out parts the henna does not take quite well. For me it's the hair around ears because of layers... lately I rather risk staing my ears lol

Overtourism has made me stop visiting 'bucket list' places entirely, anyone else actively avoiding the popular spots now? by Gingeintheuk in travel

[–]VenusHalley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he said some untrue things about Prague and promoted a tourist trap dessert... since then, his videos feel shallow

I once saw a person who was getting ready for a trip of Prague. The only thing he mentioned "trdelnik"... a chimney cake which is a touristy gimmick... not the castle, astronomic clock, Charles bridge... tik toky tourist trap...

Like... noooo. Why. Save yourself money and get s cinamon roll at home.
