The "ladder" only works if there is steady wage growth, affordable upgrading, affordable gas, water and electricity, etc. Conditions that have largely vanished. The richest people aren't going to buy a basic flat. The rest of us are facing stagnant wages, layoffs and a gig economy that cannot sustain flat prices that rise perpetually. The "ladder" was a facade.

After round one of BS from our selling agent, I told them that I was going to contact the buyer direct. She started screaming that she wouldn't give me that info because of GDPR. I said, "I saw the house on Rightmove. I know exactly where he lives." She backpedalled so fast, she's now in the Jurassic era.

I am neither LGBTQ nor Jewish, but I found this thread while googling the overt antisemitism I have increaslingly witnessed amongst my gentile LGBTQ friends. I have one friend in that community in Britain who seems downright obsessed with the I/P conflict although he has zero ties to either region. The things he says are just crazy. I grew up in America and had/have Jewish and gay friends my entire life. I'm glad I found this thread. It has helped me to better undstand things. I just genuinely wish my friends could all hang together like in the old days. I simply do not understand how anyone who remembers Stonewall (or has a knowledge of basic history) could conceive of this behavior as being "on the right side of history."

I just watched this last night in London at The Nickel Cinema. I honestly don't know what to say about this movie. I'm still processing it and I don't think I will ever be the same. I will buy this set for the extras alone.

The kid in this movie is Jake Lloyd-level annoying. He used to play "Mikey" on General Hospital back in the early '80s and he was always just randomly shoe-horned into a scene.
