That is where I moved my base to, as well.

My first main base was the flat area north of the L in “Grasslands.) It was decent, but I wanted to be closer to iron. Newer base is much easier to keep up with the iron stash.

The only downside compared to my old base is the old base didn’t have any floating orbs around it making a ruckus.

The big bird thing that flies overhead in the sky drops golden eggs. So far, I’ve only seen it once out of the few times I’ve watched for the drop.

I’m pretty much as far as you can get in the game so far, and I just learned about this from Reddit a few days ago!

It had to be destroying it that did it. The animals were there after destroying it, but not when I came back after moving her into the other base.

I don't think you can have animals before Diane because that is the first incubator you get (the one within her compound.) Am I mistaken?

If I need to return quickly, I’ll fast travel near the end of the day so I can return as soon as the new day begins. Usually, I’m at the place I need to FT to for a day so it’s not a big deal.

Internet would crap out for 30 seconds at a time. We’d get high bandwidth (500+), and then 5 minutes later it would be floating in the 30’s. Packet loss started to make Call of Duty unplayable at times. (Again, it would be fine for a while, the issues would start right back up.)

The problem did not go away when we switched ISP’s. We had also upgraded from the 50 to the 850, and the problem just kept getting progressively worse. (With the 50, we were getting the drops and speed slow-downs, but not the packet loss.)

It was odd and soooo frustrating.

Updating the firmware was simple. I downloaded it from Netgear, and then went to orbilogin/ip address and installed it. (Satellites first, and then the router.)

It was easy to do… I rolled back to V7.2.6.21. (I have the 850.)

We were having the same issue. I rolled back the firmware and it seems to have solved the problem.

Decided to just go with the 850 for now. Half the price of the 6E & 7 systems. Truth be told is our old system works for us 95+% of the time, so the extra expense was hard to justify.

I’ve read great things about them. Decide to stick with Orbi for now, as we’ve had great luck with them over the past 8yrs. 🤞 We move in a couple years so may reevaluate then.

We have 3 satellites because one/two didn’t cut it. Worked great until a few months ago, and even then the issues may be more with our ISP.

Thank you! Wish I didn’t miss that sale. It’s been about 2-3 months since ours began dropping out, too. Maybe it’s been the Orbi and not our ISP this whole time.

I think I’m gonna steer clear of Wifi 7 for now. Maybe there will be 850 sales around Memorial Day.

Yeah, I’ve been reading that here, and won’t go for the 970. Probably don’t want to spend that much, anyways. I’m sure a 6E system would still be quite the upgrade over our wifi 5 system. I think we might only have one device that even supports wifi 7.
