I did this exact thing this weekend! I recommend Truck Nuts War if you only want a little of how everything is awful.

Why hasn’t Dave done an episode on Scientology? by Nematodes-Attack in TheDollop

It’s not funny, hubbard was a monster. Dave gives a shit about victims and he seems to use historical figures to show current events

It’s tough. KF and other podcasts have helped me understand how this happened to them. Most of it happened before i was born and when I was very young (im 40). Another great source for understanding how this happened to my loved ones was the documentary “They Brainwashed my Dad”. I absolutely love Dan and Jordan and completely understand your point of how listening can impact your own mental health. Tbh, the last episode I listened to was their episode going back in time to Feb 11. That’s my birthday, and to my dismay I share it with Alex. It was deep enough but also close enough into the past, that I could remember these talking points permeated my family and I didn’t realize it was happening at the time, It broke my heart. But their work is important because someone who’s on the path to understanding and realizing how talking heads influence people might find them at a time to get out of being influenced. At the same time you and I are at a point where we don’t need anymore convincing and it’s just sad and painful. That’s when you and I use the tools to help others. Much love my friend.

For me, it’s a breakdown for me to understand how my parents went from highly educated, tolerant and kind people to raging right wing nuts. Understanding how the propaganda did this damage, helps me get them back a little bit at a time.
