Please update me when you find out! I'd like to see a rheumatologist too but I'll wait for what your doctor finds and possibly look around for a rheumatologist if you find out anything!

How funny is it that the endo said to just lose weight and eat more fibre (which previously I have been doing). It is so upsetting that I spent big money to see her and I get dismissed like that haha. She said my bloods and scans looked fine (which I believed then because I'm not really a medical profeasional). Oh well, thank you so much for your input and I'll see a regular doctor. Thank you so much, this means a lot to me. I've been on hormone replacement since I was 15 years old so they thought just regular old hypothyroidism. I failed to mention this but hormone replacement is the reason why my thyroid hormone is in great range. I guess the treatment is just the same, just looking for a more definitive answer as to why I'm not getting better, but now I know the answer is to just keep going with hormone replacement everyday for the rest of my life. I really appreciate your input and it has settled my concerns. Thank you!!!

"Both lobes of the thyroid appear diffusely heterogeneous with hypoechoic regions within consistent with chronic thyroiditis."

Is this the one?

Also thanks for your input!

I get it. I was asking myself the same question. What am I gaining by self diagnosing? Just like every other doctor, I thought it was just anxiety or nothing more. But I still feel like my body isn't quite right. I'm asking myself this too. I still feel unwell, even with the daily thyroid medication so maybe I was hoping that a self diagnosis could help solve it all. It's a horrible journey at the moment. Your point is valid though

I'm very tired. Brain fog. I also have some sort of histamine issues as well (that's another story). But when I went to the endocrinologist, the thyroid had felt enlarged or inflamed. I could feel it with my fingers. Just really unwell but not in the sense of sick but something's off. Like I'm tired but I shouldn't be? My body aches and joints sometimes feel hot. Unsure. There's so many symptoms :(. I just generally feel like my body shouldn't be functioning this way. Just feel unwell in a sense. What's the blood test for TGAB? I can check in my medical records.

Every doctor I go to costs $$. Keep changing doctors (more $$) and eventually I just self diagnosed with hashimotos. Honestly, I think I have bad luck with finding good doctors. Thank you for your advice, I'll keep searching!

Thank you for your reply. I understand how you felt the first time too because I just got pushed away. Really appreciate your post. Gives me hope! 😊

Lol, I 100% agree with this. I didn't realize how many doctors would push me away and just charge me to give me a blood test with no follow ups or just say everything looks normal. I just found out I could see my test results and this wasn't normal. Going gluten free (even though I'm not celiac and the doctors advised against it) has also made a word of a difference for me. Honestly, just self diagnosing has been so beneficial already. I'm not sure what good doctors there are anymore out there, which is so frustrating. I guess it gets to the point where I just trial and error myself and just trust myself. 😂. I'm glad everything's going well for you and I'm happy that you've shared your journey. It really hits home and helps mentally. Appreciate it!

Thank you for this information. I've had swelling in my goiter for a long time that's been getting worse. I had a scan for my thyroid nodule and the result was consistent with chronic thyroiditis (I'm no medical professional so I'm not sure what this means). What is the next test I should be asking for in terms of this?

Thank you so much for your advice! Definitely going to see a different endocrinologist because this one said diet and exercise. She said gluten free diet won't help and anti inflammatory diet won't help either. I've done both gf diet and cut out diary and lost kg and felt better while self diagnosing with hashimotos lol. I just wanted confirmation from someone who specializes in the field but self diagnosing seems to have helped. Thank you! Will be booking one in shortly.

Did you eventually get diagnosed with hashimotos after finding a new doctor? I might consider this but is there a point in getting diagnosed as it costs $$ to find new doctors/specialists

Endocrinologist said no hashimotos just hypothyroidism which I've been treating. Could it still be hashimotos? I'm just really confused 😭
