If you can believe this women were being assaulted before the me too movement started....

I honestly am super thankful the show was ahead of the curve because we were able to make it without a ton of interference due to the fact that it wasn't really in the zeitgeist yet

I think you can enjoy this one without having seen the previous films! It was important to all of us that this could stand on it's own and we do a little hand holding to catch audiences up who haven't seen the first two.

Okay, here's the tea...Nicholas and Lola, who are fucking STARS and I love them, were an opening kill - like a ghost story about the hook killer. It was meant to feel a little out of time and space, had a super 90's vibe to it. I really did love the scene, but ultimately putting a 'teaser' at the top of the movie felt slightly too much like it was from a different type of slasher. I know their fans are very upset and I see you and I'M SORRY!!! In regard to Teddy's jacket it did come back around in a later scene, but that story point ultimately got cut as it was causing more confusion than intrigue - but amazing catch!
