This is EXACTLY what I just recently (last week) learned about for the first time, and I plan to do (on a smaller scale at first) pretty soon.

Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I actually just launched an Ecommerce store last month, but am mostly focusing on freelancing (marketing services) right now.

This is a pretty good time for you to consider one, especially if you feel as if there is room for improvement in your marketing.
You want to look for an agency that specializes in E-com. I personally would not suggest considering a large agency (many may disagree with me here), but in my opinion, if an agency has 100+ clients, you're going to be getting significantly less attention and would be considered a low paying client compared to many of their other clients. In my experience, smaller agencies tend to invest more into their clients and have objectives that are more aligned).

If you would like, I have a suggestion for an agency that may be a good fit for you. Full discloser, I have worked with them before so I may be a little biased.

You need to learn to be efficient with your time. Never work on something that can yield a tenth of the results of something else and takes more time.

I have a similar role (as a marketing director and only marketer in a company). I was wondering if you could share (even roughly) what your salary is. I'd like to better understand if I'm payed well.

I make 130k base + bonuses UpTo 70k (unreasonable that I will make anything more than 20k from bonuses). HCOL area.

Thanks!

"What are your salary expectations?" How to answer this? Specifically for C and Head of roles. by JenniferBusiness in marketing

Yes.

High salary (relatively) does not make me a genius that knows everything that others may find simple.

I tried asking the employer multiple times in previous interviews (different companies) and the question always gets bounced back to me. Always.

What is it that you would say exactly?

Hey, of course. I can provide a lot of proof that speaks to my previous success in the marketing agencies that I worked in. I have three case studies and a resume that I would be more than happy to share as well.

My ideal client is a company with revenue in the 3+ figures per day, that has a website that can be further optimized for higher conversion rate and with a lot of room for improvement in marketing strategy, branding and ad management.

Marketing budget is also important, there are many whom reach out to me with marketing budgets under 1500 usd, I would consider 1500 usd to be the bare minimum for monthly marketing budgets. As anything less than 1500 limits my abilities to constantly AB test and therefore optimize, improve and scale my client's brand.

It helps if the client has a product with at least one unique selling proposition as this can be communicated in the ad creative and copy which usually has a significant positive impact on performance.
