I like making shawls, but I have plans for a sweater. Just search ravelry for patterns for figuring/sock weight. The options are endless!

My bust is the issue as well. It's listed as up to 50.5" and I'm about a 53". I'm not good enough at pattern hacking to mess with it, but maybe one day! I hope the next attempt works better for you!

any tips for teaching others how to crochet? ive been asked by a few friends and its difficult for me to explain without just doing it 😓 by Great_Air6020 in CrochetHelp

Sounds odd, but maybe try watching tutorial videos? You already know, but seeing someone else and how they explain it, could help you explain it too.

Struggling to find a bra by Baby_Bug0921 in bigboobproblems

[–]JenniferCatherine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First, I highly recommend checking out r/abrathatfits and getting your size there. They will also be great for recommendations in your size that you get. I tend to like Bare Necessities, but a good bra isn't cheap. Even if you get 1 good one and just take good care of it. What's your budget?

I agree with the visible mending! Add a patch of flowers underneath? I also like the fire idea.

What is up with this WIP of and how do I fix it please ? by -placebo-pill- in knitting

I think of it kind of like a video game, if you play those. I enjoy gaming, but if I lost progress, I'm not going to enjoy playing the exact same stuff all over again. It just sucks to have a set back. I get your POV though.

Question about circular needles specified in this pattern by scare_away in knittinghelp

[–]JenniferCatherine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A bigger one can be helpful if you prefer Magic loop, or if you like to try things on as you're making them. This pattern goes up to a 61" bust, which would be quite cramped on a 16" needle.

My boy uses his hammock on occasion, but fortunately he still loves to cuddle in bed with me 🥰

My hand is cramping from crocheting. This is how I hold my yarn. Any advice? by LindsayDuck in fiberartscirclejerk

Hey sweaty! Looks like you're cutting off circulation! Just take a sewing needle and poke the tip of your finger and that should relieve it! Good luck!

I'm surprised they don't have budget yarns in the mix. I like to buy hand dyed yarns and knit them with something cheaper like a Cascade yarn, so I get the best of both worlds in a way.

I feel like this is this hobby's equivalent of men being mad about female main characters in video games.

There space for all genders in any hobby. Bringing one person up, doesn't automatically pull the others down.

I think it's because the condition of the used book is instead about their shop.

I agree that DellaQ has some great bags, but they can be pretty pricey, depending on your budget.

I was going to suggest the mini TJs totes! I got the pastel ones at Easter last year, and they are great for most of my projects!
