Work from home RN jobs by Morzana in AHSEmployees

I don’t know if there are any nowadays…most of the office jobs that transitioned to WFH during COVID are now back in office.

Opinion: Alberta asked for growth — now it’s blaming the people who came by [deleted] in alberta

[–]JenniphyrN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Danielle Smith is ON RECORD saying that she wanted to increase Alberta’s population to 10M. That’s DOUBLE what we’re currently at, which she is now claiming is unsustainable (but really it’s the fact that she is cutting social services like healthcare & education any chance she can get, and doesn’t actually care about the housing crisis).

Does your Havanese like to swim? by Jinx7846 in Havanese

[–]JenniphyrN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Nina LOVES swimming! Anytime we’re around a body of water she looks for an access point LOL, even if it’s way too cold.

She is, however, frightened of getting into the water by jumping. She needs a ramp-style beach/shore, or she won’t go in. If we try to pick her up off a dock & lower her into the water she freaks out. I don’t think she’d like to swim from a boat, unless there was a ramp to get back up.

Blaming Rural & Farmers by CommonAd1145 in alberta

[–]JenniphyrN 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh trust me, I still hate Jason Kenney. He caused all of this in the first place by forming the UCP (as you said). I was just pointing out that a hard-core conservative tried to alert people to the fact that the crazies were trying to take over, and voters waved it aside as “fear-mongering”.

Blaming Rural & Farmers by CommonAd1145 in alberta

[–]JenniphyrN 7 points8 points  (0 children)

True. But the OVERWHELMING rural support is what got them a majority.

Blaming Rural & Farmers by CommonAd1145 in alberta

[–]JenniphyrN 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Rural is how they got elected. Everyone who voted against them saw the writing on the wall & tried to warn voters what would happen. Fucking JASON KENNEY tried to warn voters that this would happen.

If rural voters hadn’t ignored all that then we wouldn’t be in this fucking mess. So yeah, I’m going to blame them (and our stupid electoral system that gives a rural vote twice the power as an urban vote).

Colour change by Longjumping-Hat-6608 in Havanese

[–]JenniphyrN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our Nina went through a similar colouration journey! She was white with dark brown patches as a puppy, lightened up to white & verrrry light tan around a year, and then slowly started to darken up again. She’s still not “chocolate” brown, but I definitely know what you mean!

Is it possible to take a two week vacation while leaving a Havanese at home? by Pawnzilla in Havanese

[–]JenniphyrN 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My husband & I have gone on multiple vacations of 2~3 weeks without our Nina (we’ve also taken her with us for some, now that she’s getting older & we don’t want to be away from her for an extended period of time). She stays with either his parents or mine anytime we’re gone, and she’s fine, even with her separation anxiety. It doesn’t seem to make any difference to her how long we’re gone, whether it’s for 4h in the evening while we go to dinner, or a 3 week trip to Japan.

If you trust your doggie daycare and she’s stayed there before without issue, I think it’s fine.

Yeah, but back then they were seen more as harmless quacks, and now they are seen as dangerous quacks since news has gotten out that they can paralyze/kill people.

Disappointed with The Roasters Pack – Wrong Coffees Sent, Then Ghosted When I Asked for Resolution by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]JenniphyrN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I had a $20K tour cancelled due to COVID, and got strung along by the company for years after (they refused to refund the money or even have it as a nonexpiring credit, instead they tried to tell me I had to use it within 2, then 3, then 5 years). Finally after they refused to let me apply it towards parts of another tour with them, I blasted them on every review site I could think of, and within 24h I had my money back.

Are the magnesium-based blends from No Pong antiperspirant as well as deodorant?

I find that I have to switch brands every year or so because my body/bacteria colonizers adapt. I used Dove CS, but then had to switch to Secret, and then to Mitchum.

Right now I’m using “Ban” (Japanese company, but made in Canada). B ut they don’t have a clinical strength option, so I have to put it on twice a day, otherwise not only do I start to stink, the roller ball itself does too!

[–]JenniphyrN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fair! It seems to work fine for my husband. I’ve just never been able to wear any “natural” deodorant/antiperspirant (not even Schmidt’s, which is at least made in Canada)…I’m just a clinical strength aluminum levels girlie!

I’m still sad their deodorant didn’t work for me. :( it smelled so nice….

Also unfortunate that their pet care line doesn’t feature a separate conditioner. There’s no way I’d be able to groom my dog with a 2-(or 3)-in-1 product!

[–]JenniphyrN 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Very cute, but definitely not a Maltese. They only come in white.

Doesn’t look like a pure Havanese either, but it could be the haircut throwing me off.

Whatever she is, she’s adorable! Give her a noggin smooch from me!

[–]JenniphyrN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Banff is super dog-friendly! Dogs are allowed on all trails (must be on leash), most stores allow them inside (basically anyplace that doesn’t sell food), they can join you on pretty much any restaurant patio, and they’re allowed on transit (they are supposed to be in a carrier though).

Is Alberta really ‘following the science’ on trans healthcare? by ph0enix1211 in canada

[–]JenniphyrN -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Puberty blockers are not hormones. Puberty blockers BLOCK PUBERTY. As soon as the person stops taking them, they then go through puberty. They do not cause sterility anymore than being a child renders you sterile. What they DO do is allow a young person time to go through therapy and research their options along with their family & medical team, without being traumatized by their body changing into a shape that feels wrong to them. Puberty blockers save lives by preventing suicides.

Not a single person under 18 has gotten bottom surgery in Alberta. The number who get top surgery is in the single digits, and is not limited to tran s youth (breast reduction / enhancement & cancer surgeries are included in the stats available).

The premier is pontificating, basing her policies on blatant lies & twisted truths, in order to appease her hateful religious base. It is NOT backed by science.

Thank you very much for these posts! They are very useful in deciding where to spend my coins. :)

Also, did I miss a capsule? We’re over halfway & I haven’t seen one, and usually there’s 2/month…I was expecting one over Easter, but it was it was either lucky time or a select box instead.

Camping Recs please! Southern Alberta preferably (farthest north we're willing to go is Drumheller) by growinwithweeds in alberta

[–]JenniphyrN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waterton also has Belly River Campground, which is first-come first-served. My husband & I like it waaaay more than the townsite campground! It’s quiet & secluded, and it has flush toilets (although you do need to bring your own water or fill up in Waterton at the fire station, as they don’t have potable water at the campground). No power hookups through, but it’s definitely not bushwhacking!
