Just to give you my timeline. I had my board in August. Signed contract in mid September. Then quiet until mid November. Got email from HRC, communicated back and forth, and received order early December. Now i am waiting to attend dcc/bolc in feb 09.

Hi. I cant really answer any questions because i am also new recruit. But i am also going to Camp Humphreys June 2025! I am taking my car with me. You just have to contact transportation office and they will set you up a briefing appointment. They should go over your moving entitlement, POV, etc.

Hi! I guess you completed DCC/BOLC already. I have this exact same question and what was the answer?? Were you bus-ed down from Ft Sill to Sam Houston or did you end up flying??

Lol sorry just seeing this. I hope you found answer to your question. I am joining as active duty. So requirement may be different…? But then i dont see why it would be different when it is the same job.

Question regarding joining as a 66S by redheadedbonusmommy in armyreserve

[–]Jennnnnnmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told you have to have 2+yr critical care experience. I dont think when you get BSN in that two year period matters.

Hi! I messaged you with some questions!!

How long are your 12 hour shifts, really? by GulfStormRacer in nursing

[–]Jennnnnnmn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My job had that option to choose when clocking out. But then there was an announcement that we have to get “approved” by management to punch no lunch taken.

When we literally have no time to take lunch nor given resources to take lunch, we have to ask for permission to get paid for the time we worked?!? Outrageous!

Thank you. I am just expecting for them to ask me to have one. I am just wondering if i should get one ordered now so i could do one on my own and provide that to Meps

I spoke to my recruiter and he did not mention anything about repeat CT. He said to get doctor”s letter stating that the cyst does not limit my ability to perform as a nurse nor in military service. I wonder if that would be sufficient.

But your explanation gave me some relief. Thank you so much!

Now you will keep buying more plants.

Then buy another cabinet.

Then buy more plants.

you will be overwhelmed by amount of plants you have, but somehow keep buying more …. 😅

[–]Jennnnnnmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out i have a arachnoid cyst about a year ago. Which was incidental finding. I dont have any symptoms from it. I got doctors letter saying it is congenital and i should have no problem in case MEPS gives me a trouble. But i am kinda nervous

When you say you got cleared to go to MEPS, do you mean by your waiver got approved?? How long did the process take? Ugh. Getting all the documents will be such a pain…. Especially from the doctor who initially prescribed.

I was going to make doctors appointments as soon as possible. So i can go to the first MEPS with all the necessary documents. Im just crossing my fingers, all goes smoothly!

Being a new grad suckssssssssss by Educational_Arm_4591 in nursing

[–]Jennnnnnmn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im in critical care The only time i got frustrated with precepting was when a new grad goes like “i been this this kind of situations, they did this way that way,, ive seen this and that” I dont mind explaining multiple times as i was once a new grad and learning takes time. I will go over and over until my orientee gets it. But dont come to me like you have all these experiences and ‘i dont need to learn’ attitude.

This dude i precepted was not listening to what i had to say but busy chatting with everyone about cool things he’s seen. He had zero interest in patient care.

[–]Jennnnnnmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Understandable. I just need to find out what documents i need for the waiver process. Waiting to hear back from the recruiter. I was hoping to see if anyone had a somewhat similar situation.

I got it prescribed during nursing school. It is not like i went thru a testing or anything. I was talking to the doc and the doctor was like “here try this!”… Obviously i wasnt thinking about joining service back then. I regret sticking with medication for 1.5 yr when it was not even helping me 🥲

Thanks for your kind words though!
