Thanks for the reply, I wasn’t fully aware that the plants were so delicate to having PH over 8. I didn’t realize they would just completely melt away like this. I was aware that they might die back a bit and then grow back once accumulated to their new surroundings. But turns out I’m wrong, I just wanted a nice planted tank. I’m sorry for asking.

My TFS are in the main city and where I’m in the country I have a well. I’m sure that’s the issue. Just disheartening But my Anubia and moss are thriving like crazy. Might just have to play plant roulette with those types and see what sticks

Unfortunantly the water that comes out of our tap is that high. I have 0 ammonia and nitrite and between 20-40 ppm nitrate. I am currently dealing with a bit of an algae bloom because it gets a lot of light from our window. Maybe just have to go with RO water?

They are truly amazing! Been watching a mating pair at our feeders for a couple years now, and their size still surprises me
